I know Seagate aren't everyone's cup of tea and I don't know if Oyyy have mistaken the warranty, however it clearly states on their website 3 year warranty and ultimately your contract is with them not Seagate. However all that aside £66.64 delivered seems a fantastic price. I needed two for my server build in which case the price is only £64.84.

All I know is I've ordered and taken screen shots of my order and the page stating the warranty, should I need to claim I can provide information to Oyyy, should they refuse then will make a chargeback from my credit card.

Hot.

You could pickup 2 and get 4TB for about the price of a 3TB disk.

Heated OP about time these come down to earth - price per TB this is stonking deal ATM

Hot as it can get Great spot.

Lol, I noticed that. Maybe only I think they are worth buying, or they don't have real time stock which isn't the best.

Hoping prices start falling on these again when other places compete. It's a good price, but they were closer to £50 last year - need to get myself a few.

Not sure you can chargeback that far back? isnt there a limit of 6 months?

[EDIT] found this

Conditions and requirements of chargeback
The main requirement for compensation is evidence that there has been a breach of contract.

There is also a time limit on claims - Visa, for example, sets a 120 day time limit which starts from the day you are aware of a problem. In the case of tangible goods that you've purchased from a shop or online it would therefore be from the day you receive the items.

If booking flights, should the airline go out of business, the breach of contract would be from the day the flight was due to depart. However, if airline had told you at an earlier date that the flight would not be going ahead, the conditions would not apply.

Me thinks their stock counter doesn't update very often.

I'm still on a 2005 80gb hard drive

woo-hoo. Time to fill my microserver....

it aint that cheap, I was looking at 2TB seagate for 80 quid from ebuyer. And I've heard of ebuyer.
oh and 5900RPM???

Thanks Ordered 5 drives (£316.85) for my HP Microserver..

Heat added

6gb/s? Now that's good...

6gb/s? Now that's good...

prolly wont appreciate that on a networked NAS using 300mb/s wifi mind you

Getting back to normal pricing again, definitely a hot deal - everyone (not me) was getting excited about WD Caviar Green drives for £78 last week!

So has anyone heard of this website? Does it really have a 3 year warranty?

Good drives for cool and quiet data hoarding. Perfect for htpcs too.

Quite polarised. Given that the stock count never changes I'm beginning to think that these are imaginary but we shall see!

so, so tempted. i think ill wait a little longer...i've waited this long. if i can wait till they're back to £50 ill have dodged the boost in prices

Seagate = auto cold.

So much for a cheap month, ordered 2 of these. Need that microserver cashback now

Reading this , I would not buy from this company.......

Be warned.............

hard drives are broad and they are long where failure rates are concerned - if they are gonna die they usual die very quickly. IMHO:)

SOGA etc is what you would claim under
You do have your Statuary Rights - the item has to last a "reasonable length of time" in the case of HD's that would be around the 3 to 5 year mark I imagine. You just need to file a small claim against the retailer in the local court (you can do it online)

Thing is Seagate drives just aren't reliable any more, so you will be doing the above quite a lot, and of course you need double the storage for back up purposes.

You pay your money and takes your choice, as an IT Pro, I would suggest you look at the other drive maker first.

Great deal, thank you. Let's see if they deliver.

I think I worded ny first post badly. As I have purchased two making my order value over £100 I believe that under the the Consumer Credit Act 1974 the credit card company is 'jointly and severally liable' for any breach of contract or misrepresentation by the company.

But hey I could be wrong, lol.

Product no longer exists, looks like a misprice.
