I've ordered btw and everything is fine, just waiting for delivery

£80 is very cheap these days for a 2TB hard drive. Heat added.

Can this be dismantled from the case?

Thanks op heat added and order placed. I hope they can be taken apart can't see why not...

Good price considering the circumstances.

This seller's web site does not have a contact address at all. Makes me feel uneasy about buying from them. Although you can pay (and this probably be protected) by credit card - what about returns if there are any problems?

Can I use this on both Mac and PC?

I'm looking for a 2.5 potable one over 160G, so this is too big

Good price but bear in mind this hard drive enclosure has problems. Eventually there is a "clicking" sound which locks up the hard drive and prevents it from being read and written. The only fix I found was to remove the hard drive from the enclosure and install it into the computer and it now works properly. So buyers beware.....

The problem is the board that serves the drive , IF you get the clicking ( i have the 1tb for over 12 months and its fine) either do as above and install in a pc OR buy a cheapo caddy fom ebay or dealextreme and use that , the drives are perfectly fine.

I thought I'd mention it as I have the 2tb exactly like this and thought people should be aware beforehand but yeah you're right IF it does happen it's problems with the enclosure NOT the drive

Who.is gives this as the registered address:

365 Games PO BOX 3503
Sheffield
south yorkshire

United Kingdom

Looks like a drop shipper/fleabay seller.

Hmm. Looks like his eBay nick is xbiteworld

The WhoIs info on the domain looks like it's their "actual" address:

Domain name:
365games.co.uk

Registrant:
Xbite

Trading as:
Xbite Ltd

Registrant type:
UK Individual

Registrant's address:
365 Games PO BOX 3503

Little concerning that their official company address is a PO Box. Additionally the site isn't secure (account registration, login, etc). Not sure if it hands off to a secure third party when you reach the payment stage (i.e. Paypal, Sagepay, etc).

But yeah, order with caution, lots of red flags here.

Yes! You can use any hard drive on a Mac and PC.

I'm looking for a fridge freezer and this has no chiller compartment!

good spot

scroll down and you can get free back up software or a free 4GB USB drive with the 2TB drive

To quote "Allow an additional 2 - 4 working days for despatch as this item is coming from a different warehouse and may take slightly longer than usual to despatch."

So what! It should still get dispatched sameday as every other Etailer or at most nextday.

My guess its an amateur company who are dropshipping their goods?

This item is coming from a different warehouse and may take slightly longer than usual to despatch

This sounds exactly like a drop shipper...

personally I'd probably avoid.

Rather than assume peole are daft, think about it. I don't want to pay £80 when I'll use just a fraction of the size.

this company has been around for years ordered xbox games in the past never had a problem with them

I got one of these free with a computer I ordered online and it is horrible. True the clicking is caused by the casement. The other problem is the speed of writing to the device is mega yawn. I sold it on ebay as it was so shocking so unless you are desperate don't bother.

!!!!! Morons everywhere....

Aww don't cry. No-one has assumed you're daft. We've all inferred it.

Good price for a 2TB drive atm. Sad times.

Out of stock - should be expired.

and no Argos within 10 miles has it either.

Had confirmation then a lame excuse just now that they are out of stock. Said they did have one but it was returned due to case damage. I won't be using this company again.

Paypal refunded my money today - No comment from 365games.

Could not find any Argos stores with stock
