I guess everybody has their opinions based on personal experience. My own feeling is that I wouldn't touch Maxtor with the proverbial, having had a couple which have both died young (and when I spoke to Maxtor customer services, they basically said, 'tough, buy another one'). I have also had a couple of Seagate drives now, which I have never has the slightest trouble with.

I think they are actually all fairly similar (as long as you buy one of the main makes) it is just pot luck whether your drive lasts one year or ten. :roll:

At least the drive posted has a 2 year warranty (for what that's worth).
