Heat thanks op

I presume this uses SMR technology?

I picked one up from Sainsburys a few weeks ago at the same price, the stock has gone in my local but the shelf label is still there so may be available at other stores.

How many drive letters does it show?, it bugs me when they have 2

Got one of these 2 weeks ago, was £10 more at the time. Bought to gather together contents of 5 older drives. Quality seems good, size perfect, surprisingly not really that much bigger than my previous 1TB drives. Transfer rates seemed pretty good too.

Just the single drive letter.

You can get a Toshiba 4TB Canvio USB 3.0 3.5" Desktop Hard Drive from the BT Shop for £89.98 Here Or the 5TB version which I bought for £104.98 Here

Both being desktop drives which require their own power supply, portable ones like this Seagate are much more useful.

Yes, too big. I literally just replaced my PS4 hard-drive a couple of days ago with the 2TB version, and using the old 500GB on the XONE as external storage bringing it up-to 1TB.

...because that's a 3.5" mains powered drive, this is 2.5" USB powered drive.

Purchased the 2 tb model for my Xbox 360 a few months back, very compact and you don't need plug in mains to power up,it powers straight off the usb, just ordered the 4tb model for Xbox one s.transfer rates are pretty good aswell.

You can't run games from an external hard drive on PS4, so it would be of limited use if it did work.

Just had a quick look at the reviews and saw these:

Chuon 19 June 2016Size: 4TB|Style: Portable (2016 Edition)|Verified PurchaseI think its my bad luck that I got a bad one? But I am not alone (I have read numerous review about this drive) and Tom's hardware even have a dedicated page to describe all the problem. My problem is SLOW! The speed is worst than my USB 2.0 drive (unbranded case) and compare to my WD MyPassport this one is a joke. I am using a Macbook pro!

The read and write speeds are truly dreadful for a supposedly USB 3.0 drive. I have several other USB and externally powered Seagate drives and they all work well but this one is a dud! I have since bought a 5TB externally powered Seagate Expansion drive that works perfectly well. Avoid this drive unless you want hours of frustration waiting for it to dowload data!

Doesn't sound good...
