anyone know why the other seagate 1TB external drive also sold by amazon is that much more expensive ?

amazon.co.uk/Sea…s_t

which is more reliable ?

oh no just brought for £10 more last week

Great price and a very good hard drive

good price, just bought one.

Have they clicked on that their hard drives overheat and it's ideal to place a fan in these external cases? The drives in my case overheats even when i've taken it out =S. Not keen on seagate, although each to their own.

Are there any similar that are usb powered, or aren't they for this amount of storage?
After a quick look on here £65 seems to be the lowest a 1TB has been, is this a good quality one?

1tb usb powered drives will cost about £160 when they come out.

Thanks. i'm torn between this and a 500gb portable one.

Cheers, just ordered

Don't like the idea of it being a 3.5" and requiring mains power. Will be sticking to 2.5" passive.

Just a quick comment guys, in case you're thinking of buying more than one, these HD's can't be stacked due to design. Good price though. Heat added

I bought this exact model from ebuyer for around the same price a couple of months ago on Ebay's deal of the day. For the price, it's a very good deal.

The drives used in caddies are usually lower-performance, slower-spinning, smaller buffer, and have shorter warranties than regular bare drives. And I'd imagine that opening the caddy would invalidate any warranty you do have anyway.

Seagate Expansions 1TB External Desktop USB 2.0 Hard Drive has increased from £54.97 to £64.99 since you placed it in your Shopping Cart
