Tempting, would go nicely with the **** theatre plus that was posted on here.

Oh and why does Free agent get blanked out when both words are put together.

Nice!

Yeah... that was so weird. I don't why it happened. Tried editing 3 times and still the same. So just used FA instead of Free Agent.... Lol...

99% of all the external portable hard drives (2.5" ones) out there are 5400rpm ones mate. That's pretty common spin speed for this price range.
If there are any 7200rpm ones, they wud definitely be much costlier.

i got the Theatre HD+ , not sure if i should get this one too...
ummmm
another £45 that can help somewhere else...

I got a silver one of these for Christmas and it's served me very well. Just beware that while the top surface is metallic and very hard-wearing, the bottom surface is just a "metallic effect" rubberised material and the colour wears off the corners fairly quickly.

Nice one Deathlord, been looking for a cheap portable drive for the daughter. Ordered ruby ruby ruby ruby

Nice find heat added

Also ordered the a black one to go with my FAT+

- I know it's prob compulsary now, but don't forget Quidco (didn't try any voucher codes)
Just wanted to remind everyone.

Cheers. (heat added)

I forgot about quidco. I was going to cancel the order and re-order through quidco...That was until I notices it was 0.5% on electronics! 20p. Not worth risking it going out of stock while I re-order. Great deal! Theatre+ Media streamer with 500GB for £63.98! That is about 1/4 of the price it is selling for on other sites! I was going to buy a revo for £200 to do pretty much the same thing.
Edited by: "davestavros" 23rd Sep 2010

Quidco is 0.5% and Topcashback is 0.6%
I ordered through TCB, 20p ain't bad, since every little helps (_;)

I was concerned about that. I kind of have a feeling that I'll get the FA theatre instead of the theatre+ HD. They are both from play, though, so if they get it wrong they are both going back in the same box at play's expense!

Guv. they were price @ £70 minus your code TDX-RTHK which is £10 how can they be £39.99??? @tescodirect.
£70 for 500gb @ tesco
£59 for [email protected]
even the 320 after discount would still cost you £49.99 still expensive compare to this one!!!

I wonder so... Coz I have ordered few items from Play earlier, but never received any updates so fast.
Whereas in this case, I ordered one yesterday night and it has been posted already.

remember this has 5 years warranty compares to 2 years for others...

TBH, the recent incidents suggest that they've been manipulating consumers to a fair bit...
and the fact that we're still buying when we find a decent price suggests that we don't mind getting the slap every now and then as long as they offer good prices and honour "some" of their deals...

actually, now i'm quite p*d that I ordered the SG FA HD+ and the drive... but still..the price was quite good for the HD+ ! (If what I'll receive soon is indeed the HD+)

Guys... Black one is already up now - £79.99... Only Silver, Blue and Red available now for £44.99.

I think they was the same deal on Amazon if you want the black one. The free agent theatre thing IS the HD version after all so it may be time to get one of these. There is a slot on the top that the drive goes into. It uses a standard mini-usb connector but it is fixed in place. The usb port on the drive must me directly in the middle of one of the short sides of the drive. I have a WD passport but it won't fit.

The Blue drive is now £43.99 - until midnight tonight.

I ordered this the other day - grrrrr - could've saved a whole £1

Yes, it is powered by the USB port of the computer.

Thank you OP, just what I've been looking for - ordered Mon, arrived today, unusually good service from Play...so very happy. It's tiny, attractive and a great price!
