2tb at 2.5 inch, great price but don't expect it to be that all reliable compared to a 3.5 inch

I just had 1 fail in my PS4 after 18 months

Sorry to hear that Mine still going, luck of the draw I guess.

I had one of these in my PS4 and mine failed after a little more than a year of light use. Fortunately I bought it from Amazon who agreed to refund despite me being slightly over warranty. Replaced it with a 1TB SSD and been fine since touch wood.

Wouldn't hold the one failure against these drives, I'm sure I was just unlucky but I would say these days there just isn't as much point in hybrid SSD and HDDs as SSDs are dirt cheap compared to the prices they used to be when these hybrids first came out.

I guess if you need a high capacity in the console (don't forget you can add an external) and literally can't spend even a penny more it has it's place but in most cases I think there might be more merit in spending a little more for a true 1TB SSD in the console and put the original drive in a external case to boost storage...

Just from these comments a high failure rate is observed. Seems like the 5Yr warranty will be required.

If you bought direct from amazon you would've got 2 years amazon warranty (anything goes wrong with it you get a replacement or full refund) and 3 years with the manufacturer. Or you could go with the 5 year with the manufacturer, but obviously amazon warranty is better.

Point this out to them, or say I want to speak to your manager. Remind them that your first 2 year warranty is with amazon and not the manufacturer (only if you bought direct from amazon and not a 3rd party seller).

Had one in my laptop for the last two years. Its travels all over the world with my on a ship getting bounced around. No issues so far. My previous one was also a firecuda which had no issues. So can't be all bad.
Got one in my PS4 Pro been fine fast and reliable up to now.. but now I’m paranoid as hell thanks guys

You and me both
Been looking for one of these for my PS4 at a good price. £61.67 - bargain!, + 2% Quidco, and 5% cashback from Amex (promotional rate) - so may get another £4.30 ish off.

Seagete = cold.
I'm surprised Amazon honoured the warranty when it being used in a PS4.
eBuyer would definitely argues this case.
So many failures, but if there any different drive in that price range to upgrade PS4?
Ignore ignorant Seagate hater trolls. Price per performance makes this an intelligent buy. If your data is crucial: backup.
