Popped in to Tesco today and grabbed one of these - Amazon are selling them for £64.99.

They are USB and come with a 5 Year warranty!

Cant find this on the Tesco Direct site so may be instore only. The Burnage branch had about 10 on the shelf.

Hopefully this will help someone.

It's a nice little drive - the only colours they had were the silver ones. They also had the iomega portable 250GB drives for the same price.

It's the 5 year warranty I'm happy with

I take it that this is portable?

Anyone fancy sending me one to Ireland? Will pay postage and whatnot through paypal.

cheers

yea I bought this aswell as the other 1TB drive from tesco direct!

awesome price! and nice and metaly!

work with xbox?

All external HDDs SHOULD work with an Xbox 360 if formatted correctly.

They were this price in my local Tesco yesterday too.

just what i was looking for

How do these compare to the Western Digital Passport drives please?

I had one of those ages ago, and it was great, but for some reason I swapped it for a crappy Maxtor pocket drive... it's crap

out of stock in east sussex area. try calling customer service on 0800505555 first.

yes maxtor sucks. WD is pretty good. esp if you have a mac since it's cross compatable. seagate is better IMO. quieter

Got the last one in Peterborough store.

Excellent value been after one for a while but waiting for the right price.

Nice one, thanks bargain!

Will look out for these online then...

Seagate and Western Digital are the ones I'm looking out for, any others worth trying? The Maxtor I have really is awful though, looks bloody terrible and requires two power connectors, and even then it's hit or miss. The Western Digital I had was brilliant, worked faultlessly

good deal but does anyone know what the rpm is on these babies ?

Thanks in advance

just got one (Carrickfergus) was still priced at £77, but brought it to till and scanned at £44.97.

Different drives. The seagate ones don't look as cheap/nasty as the Iomega ones and are a much bigger brand.

Cheers, one near me does not have one, only iOmega ones. Still got two old internal SATA drives, 7200rpm with good capacity, and leads to connect to lappy so may just stick with them for now. Only storage and infrequently used.

Cheers OP!

Definately hosted - I picked one up today

Trowbridge store had only one left. Note that some stores will still have them marked up at the full price - £78 - but if you ask them to do a price check, they'll come up at £45.

If you want a cheap case Argos have a DS case which is a nice fit. 568/0360. £1.99.

I don't have them side by side (only the newly brought seagate) however I'd say the seagate is slightly thinner and less bulky.
