Well according to cnet this drive is faster at writing speeds (probably due to having an 8gb cache not 2mb like the wd drive). It has 5 years warranty as opposed to 3, and it also has Ceedo software installed, allowing a portable desktop environment for use on any computer without leaving any temporary files etc.

I've just ordered one btw.

I was going to purchase this on saturday because its a really good drive for the money, especially having a 5 year warranty. But i got a cheaper 120gb external drive off fleabay for £36. If its rubbish i'll re-list on fleabay and go for this one.

The only bad thing i could find with this that put me off is that it comes with a dual usb cable as some machines dont provide enough power through the usb ports for these type of drives. I only have 2 usb ports on my laptop and there on either side to each other so if my usb wont power it from just one port the cable wont be able to fit to both of my ports and i dont want to mess about sending stuff back.

most drives like this come with a dual usb cable, ive tested the above drive but smaller capacity on 2 laptops, with a single usb cable and worked just fine
