It's £89.99 for 2TB on Amazon. Cold!

Sorry was looking at desktop one.

Or just get a 2TB drive with USB3 connector for less?

Where can you get a 2.5" 2TB external hard drive?

Hot from me.

Ha! The old 3.5" vs 2.5" confusion in the comments. When will people learn

Edit: better to put 2.5" in the title (most people don't seem to know that the word "portable", when it relates to an external hdd, identifies a 2.5" drive. After all, a 3.5" desktop external drive is strictly speaking also more portable than a portable netbook).

Where do you get the connector cables to upgrade to usb 3.0?

Upgrade cable to 3.0
There is one here
amazon.co.uk/Sea…0_0

Price is £17.72

You may be able to find an equivalent elsewhere cheaper

Worth looking at this page also.

Does this mean that in order to get USB 3.0, you have to spend extra money? In that case the price is wrong because you can get USB 2.0 drives for much less than £89.

yeah but you cant upgrade other hard drives in the way you can with this, also yes this is a 2.5" drive so much more expensive than those 3.5" ones and also means does not need external power just runs off the laptop/pc power
