Paid £89 each for 5 of these in 2018.
Been running great 24/7 so far.
    That's good to know.
I have 3 x 8tb I bought earlier this year and I am obsessed by checking the health of them everyday.

I'm been running 5 desktop drives in my nas for 7 years and not one has failed.

Probably just jinxed it now though.

Two of them are parity drives so hopefully not too much of a risk. (edited)

Wouldn't say this is a good deal at all for a 4tb. You can buy brand new Seagate Skyhawks on eBay right now for 68.99 and even at that price it's top heavy for a 4tb.
whose the seller? do u have a link as I'm after a 4tb nas dr9ve

Looking for a deal on a 12tb drive. Surely NAS drives should be going down in price since SSDs are becoming cheaper.
Not really due to multiple factors in chip shortage, supply chain, inflation, covid etc. The higher capacities have dropped significantly in price and offer good GB/£ ratios but there is definitely a floor currently in the lower capacity market.

It's probably worth noting that even the larger capacities are starting on the up again with the explosion of Chia coin mining.

48363071-TkEwA.jpgbought for 72.99 to install in my desktop. Hat to cut hard drive cage in half to fit it in corsair 465x case!

This is what the speeds are like (edited)
