    Extremely low performance HDD with 2quids worth of external electronics, at a truly terrible price per TB. At 230 I'd say the price was meh.

    PS every external Seagate I've used randomly disconnects after a time, and needs a 'reboot' for the PC to see it again. My external WD HDDs don't have this issue. In other words, I'd go WD every time for this type of device.

    Last two seagate external drives I’ve got are actually incredible since I got the exos drives in it which is the enterprise versions and hold upto 10x a normal consumer drive. Things might have changed since and it was lottery. You could get some baracudas in it.
    Haven’t shook them yet but will do and put them to hold the data and backups and possibly add one more for RAID.
    It was the 14gb I think version and got them from amazon 2years ago.
    Can’t comment anything about the enclosure though (edited)
