This is a HOT deal! A portable 2.5" USB hard drive at a great price with free shipping as well!!
I'm sure this is the cheapest a mobile 640GB drive has been.

This comes in at about 10.67GB per £ or 9.37p per GB (thanks paddy.power).

got one of these, fantastic product!

I've got a 1tb Seagate external which makes the well-documented clicking noise.....dunno if this would have the same issue?

HOT Deal...I trust only seagate & WD for external disks on any given day...640GB for 59.99 is HOT

Bought the 2tb version and mine had the same problems (3 difference hds) so will be avoiding seagate drives like a plague now.

I have no knowledge of hard drives, so would never claim to be an expert!!

damn, looking for one of these but i wont buy hdds from ebuyer any more. Their returns procedure for hdds is beyond awful and in my previous experience they often arrive broken.

Last time i bought a hdd from them i ended up having to take an unpaid afternoon off work to sit in a 50 minute phone que (which i also paid for the privilege of) then i had to go through a ridiculous diagnostic procedure even tho there was no physical fault, the warranty seal was broken. Beyond the joke really hence why they have lost my custom after many years.

Different kind of drive, depends on what you're after, you get more GB per £ for 3.5 drives, but they require a mains power supply, whereas these portable drives are smaller 2.5 ones and can run off USB (and thus why they're more expensive).

just buy the 650 gb 2.5 and buy a case of ebay and save pounds ?

*sigh*

Find me a 640gb / 650gb as you say, 2.5" HDD drive and a case for
At this price, frankly I'd say if you were after a 640gb internal you'd be better off buying this and dismantling the case...

The easiest/cheapest way to fix that problem would be to buy a new hard-drive to put inside it.

hot added, hdd ordered.
plan to use it to replace the netbook internal drive. hope the speed won't be too bad.

Personally, I prefer the Seagate Go 500GB drive as it has encryption and more importantly a 5 year warranty- the Ebuyer model has only 2 years. However, if you need max storage capacity it is the biz.
