GC is fully wired and GM is semi modular
I have an 80w gold 550w psu that’s 5 years old. EVGA. Will this still work fine?

And another option is Focus GX which is fully modular and with 10 year warranty instead of 7.

do you mean will you be able to swap the EVGA for this one?

if so, almost certainly. All the connections to the rest of your hardware are standardised.

I'd advise against using certain cables from different brands though. I'm not entirely surebif it'll work but I had my Corsair a650 die on me and those cables mention only to be used on that PSU.

Can anyone else confirm if cables are interchangeable?

that's only a consideration for a modular psu

this psu is fully wired so there is no option to re-use cables unless they are extensions, in which case they're totally fine
If 650w isn't a must and 55w will do this is also a good option in my view. Yes it does have rgb hah but it's barely visible or can be turned off I'm sure.

It's also fully modular

Shortage of decent power packs at present so expect premium prices.
Seaaonic customer service is excellent. My x550 PSU was making a clicking noise after several years of owning it. I sent it back to them in Germany and in about 4 days they replaced it with a brand new x650 with 7 years warranty. Absolutely fantastic and worth paying a premium for
Seasonic are renowned for building quality psu. My X750 still going strong must be atleast 10years old.
I only use seasonic. The best PSU builds and customer support out there IMO.
