I am looking for ultra 850w but no good prices

The Riotoro Enigma G2 850W is a rebranded SeaSonic focus plus you can get it for £85 at CCL
Great PSU and a good price for the make.
Comes with a ton of connectors which should be more than enough for a 750w PSU.
Heat added. 🔥

Not sure if they're built the same, but I returned a Seasonic Prime Ultra Platinum the other day. Fan had a really obnoxious "ticking" noise to it, and I found a lot of similar reports after searching (think it's a design/component choice problem rather than a fault). Not great for what should have been a top tier PSU.
My 800 watt Tagan is still going strong after 10 years, never scrimp on a PSU. Good price for this one.
The rule is , if you buy a £300 plus cpu why would you spend just £30 on a psu...Get a good PSU dont skimp!

Same here, can't believe how long it's lasted!
£85 for gold rated...usually get platinum / titanium for around this price on offer. Or just pay the little extra

Inb4 "who needs platinum" "it never pays for itself"

That's very strange.

I have got my seasonic focus 850w in the listing for £102 last year and is probably the most silent fan in the whole system.

I got it mainly as my gpu required additional pcie connector and kept on rebooting on cheap cooler master psu, this is so much better. System is stable - both were way below systems power requirements.

Plus, you'll reuse it every time for the systems lifecycle.

Has QC changed? I dare hope not

I have this exact model in my PC now. I've always bought Seasonic manufactured PSUs (XFX, EVGA etc) and they have always been rock solid. Highly recommended.

I've read about this, seemingly common issue. Puts me off the brand a bit
Good price for a good brand fully modular psu. A good one will last years.
How does this sound compare to a corsair? Was about to go for the HX750 or RM750X. Noise and longevity my biggest concern.

I've got a 10 year old corsair HX520 which is still rock solid and silent, but just purchased a vega 56 and sadly need some more wattage.
Poor quality. Cold

Read reviews first. It's not all about gold vs platinum vs whatever other certification. I read reviews of this unit and it performed really close to platinum ones iirc. Seemed like a top tier PSU, I got it for 95 quid and that was already a pretty good price, for 85 this is a steal.
A good platinum would be better but I doubt you'd get that at this price.
However I don't know if it's enough to be on this website, it's been at that price for over a month I think, and will probably stay there for a while.

Absolutely a better choice here, read reviews.
I paid £200 for a 1200w Corsair PSU...12 years ago. Still going strong.

Corsair PSUs are made by Seasonic, at least they used to be.
Slotzy - thanks for this. I've now read some reviews and Tom's hardware shows the RM750X as very similar, but quieter on their noise tests. I think that fact swings me towards Corsair.

Wake up forest.
I'm surprised to see no one has mentioned Johnnyguru. By far the best website for PSU reviews.
Sadly upto £103. Missed out.
