Only the basic model, but looks a decent deal for a good quality car

£129.46 incl VAT monthly rentals
£388.38 initial rental
£239.99 admin fee

Other mileages available, but this seems the cheapest.

TBH, not sure if it's a pricing error. It works out cheaper than some of the lower mileage/higher initial rental options.

recommended as star deal on the website...so should be legit

That's a business deal, personal is £161/month

looks like a big car for a 1 litre engine to pull

Change the mileage to 10,000 and the initial rental to 3 months. Monthly figure drops to £129.46.

I test drove this model - was very good!

Is the colour choice limited?

Ok I see now. Has to be a misprice though like you said.

It's got 113bhp. The 1.6 Suzuki vitara has 118bhp, so they're broadly equivalent.

I don't imagine by any stretch that it is any speed demon, but other cars like Dacia Sandero Stepway get away with 90bhp engines just fine.

I suspect the man at Seat probably checked it drove alright too.

Not sure I would try and use this company again. National Vehicle Solutions are a SCAM with their bait and switch. I sure they will get a lot of complaints from unhappy and let down potential customers.

i don't think they care for the happiness of potential customers

I asked for quote on this today, no wonder they never got back to me... idiots

Had a test drive in the Ateca 1L. It's never going to win any races but for round town and occasional motorways it will be fine. Certainly had plenty of room and lots of bells and whistles. Roughly £10K cheaper than its richer half sister - the VW Tiguan (same engines, same platform, etc, but different bits fastened on top). Leasing it's probably worth considering as you get lots for your money.

Rang my local Seat dealer today, they said they had the same offer available and that two people had placed orders yesterday (this is for the updated slightly higher price).

They haven't got the 1.0 TSI available for a test drive but they have got the 1.6 TDI which has the same bhp so I am going down tomorrow for a test drive in the diesel.

I also rang the next closest Seat dealer who quoted my £300 a month on a 24 month lease.

Which main dealer did you use?

I've never taken a lease before, but very tempted.
Did you have to pay anything in case of scratches / stone chips etc? What about servicing? Is that included?
Thanks in advance.

Deals can vary depending on when maintenance is included. Generally it isn't although they may offer it as an added cost per month if you request it.

Generally, you'd have to pay for the normal servicing at the recommended service intervals and you would return the car in a condition they say they gave it to you apart from "fair wear and tear" so if you have any bumps, that would be for you to sort out through your own insurance. Also, look at GAP insurance as well when considering leasing.

Did you take out GAP insurance?
If yes, how much did it cost for 2 years?

I haven't got a lease deal but if I did - then yes I would. ala.co.uk is a good starting point to get a quote.

The price is just for the car, they did give me details about gap insurance and stones/chips insurance but they are cheaper to take out online if you want them.

What were any maintenance costs (if added).
I'm trying to get in my head the 'true' cost (excluding fuel and insurance) per year / week.
£50 per week would be doable.

I think an annual service only costs £149 and you would probably get away with only needing one.

As I say - I'm not in a leasing deal so just commenting on the research I've done as I'm also thinking about it.

For e.g. this car here I've picked randomly: https://www.selectcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/nissan/qashqai/hatchback/15_dci_n~connecta_5dr/73659.html

shows maintenance as £14 p/m excl.VAT so work on that as an example

Although remember as it's a new car, you'll be covered under the manufacturers warranty if any issues happen. You'll just have to decide on a case by case basis as to what's included under the man. warranty and decide whether it's worth the extra money for peace of mind for those things not covered.

As fossman says, the likelihood will be you'll just be paying for 1 annual service on a 2 year lease.
