So after 24m it's yours?

Yes, it also comes with free insurance, and if you crash it you get a replacement.
Ghostrecon03/05/2019 15:30

Seriously! I can get a c class Mercedes with almost same price... Sigh

Put a link up then big man, let's see what spec/engine it is

Lol, just goes to show how ignorant you are. Seat is owned by VW (who also own Audi and Skoda) and the Seat Leon is built on the same underlying chassis platform as quite a few cars in the VAG group, go read up on the MQB platform (in fact they even share quite a few engines across the VAG group). I'm not bothered about this deal but some of the misinformation is hilarious.

GENERALLY speaking Lease deals are great for people who want a new car/toy every 2/3/4years. Who don't want to worry about out of warranty repairs or paying tax.

PCP deals are great for people who might want a new car every 3/4/5 years but who also might want to just buy the car after the term and own it. Don't mind being out of warranty, paying tax.

HP is great for people who want to pay for a car for 2/3/4/5 years then it's theirs.

No Matter which you go for always figure out the cost of the deal over the full term Inc insurance, servicing, tax, warranty then you can decide if you're getting a good deal.

yeah, dont think 3 months of payments would be useful if your putting 23 months upfront.
This is what the missus wants. Think it's a bit more over the 24 months than the previous deal that went very hot.

Decisions, decisions.

The previous deal was also 10k miles though :/

The build date on these is looking around august if not later - new model for the LEON is next year (Cupra model will probably be around possibly 1.5 years away as it's usually a year after the LEON I think? (May not be)!

I get mid to low 30s on a steady 12mile commute with motorway and country roads. If I have a bit of fun, it's down to high 20s. 45 is dream land.
Same price for 36 months if you want to offset the initial deposit and reduce the theoretical monthly cost down.
Seen some videos on the new 290 and it seems very quiet compared my 300. No audible dsg bang or pops on overrun. Whilst I'm no hooligan, it does bring the youth out in me
Can any new 290 owners comment on the noise?
Without the awesome noise may as well get a diesel! I have a 5 year old A3, it’s quick, 50mpg and £20/year tax. Sounds terrible though would assume modern diesels are at least as quick and economical though

I took the soundaktor out of mine (2019 290) as it irritated me. I came from an S5 and the sound is vastly inferior as can be expected but it does pop and crackle on overrun. It's just it's a lot more audible from outside the car.

I don't think it sounds worse than the Golf R I had in 2015.

For what I am paying for it (I got a lux on the Leasing Options one from Jan) it's a great car.

I have the 4 drive ST, and my long term is 24-25 mpg, medium agressive driving
I see 40-45mpg most days driving to and from work in comfort mode mix of 30-60 stop start stuff, I use Shell V Power.

I have had the car about 2 months nearly 1k miles on the clock now, it's nice to have a car which can run 40 odd mpg, but can be switched to hooligan mode!

I dont like the sound inside the cabin at all either. It was more the DSG bang on upshift and the pop/crackle on overrun that I would miss.

It does do it, but it's very subtle.

> So after 24m its yours?
Thought all leases were the same - after the lease period, you either hand the car back, or pay another lump sum to keep it. The latter is getting less and less common though, and works out better if you just take out another lease (get a better car).

OK, I'm confused. Their website is friendly, in that you click the options and immediately the price is updated. So on the above example, I click 24 month contract length, and with a 15k annual mileage (plus the maintenance option ... assume that's worth having ... servicing can add up otherwise) it comes out at £355 a month. On a 36 month contract, its £362 a month. So I'm paying £7 a month more to have the car longer?? The 48 month contract is £359 ... again, more than the 24 month contract (so after 24 months, I'm paying more a month for a 2yr old car at that point). Is the 24 month contract a special offer, or am I missing something?!

There is a 'FAQs' page on their website which says no, after the leasing period, you hand the car back - there is no option to purchase the vehicle. There are also a variety of other pages, eg, detailing the pros/cons of leasing. Quite helpful.
Are these 0 mileage when you take the lease? And latest 2019 models? Or 2018? Thanks

Only 5k miles on the c300d and a deposit of £2510 and also 36 month lease! That isn't comparable to this deal.

I'd also suggest the demographic of both cars isn't the same, maybe you should be comparing the Cupra with Golf R, Mercedes A35, Audi S3 - not a family saloon!!

The CLA deal on a 3+23 (8k) deal is over £1100 more expensive for a car with less than half the power.

You have to compare the total price over the period along with the mileage. Plus, whats really the point in comparing a hot hatch with a family saloon?

Anyway iam just sharing.

For me an extra 10-20 pounds is not a big deal, as I look into the overall picture.

Do I trust myself and my family in a seat? No
Do I trust myself traveling in Europe in a seat? No
Do I trust myself taking the seat to work, and daily shopping? No.

These are some factors I care about most.

Otherwise, feel free to get any car.
Peace
