£30k list price and a 4.4 seconds 0 to 62 so if you’re into hot hatches this looks like a great deal. January delivery and choice of colours.

£771.63 - initial payment
£198.00 - admin fee

Nice car but too expensive for me on a lease with only 8000 miles.

Good price
All that power through the front wheels, should be 4motion at least.

2 years ago maybe but those deals are long gone. When I took out my first lease 2 years ago my shortlist for 10k miles pa for £6k in total or £250 per month was:

Leon Cupra ST
Golf GTD Estate
Skoda VRS Hatch

I opted for the golf, recently tried to extend for 12 months but VW wanted £300 per month.
0-60 is 6s according to SEAT site.

Sounds about reet last years 300 was 5.9 my 300 st is only 4.9 so thought 4.4 was strange
My previous car was a SEAT, I really enjoyed it and the customer service went way beyond my expectations. I now have an Audi and the customer service has just been crap to the point that they just take the p#ss. I'm sure not all garages are the same, but I'll certainly be avoiding one particular on in the Milton Keynes area in the future...
Good find for a nice alternative to the thousands of golf Rs floating about.

To be fair to the original poster, both Top Gear and What Car claim 4.4secs for this particular model. I appreciate that's BS though.

I feel the same about Audi, just coming to the end of a 3 year lease on a TT, won't be getting another Audi that's for sure. They don't want to know once you've driven off the forecourt.

I agree, the Golf R is far superior for this reason but obviously has a larger price tag.

Despite the SEAT being lighter and quicker in a straight line at 50mph+ ?

People call auto all non manual cars and unfortunately most staff are sales not engineers.

What is the price over the term? £220 a month means absolutely nothing without knowing the initial rental price, ain fee etc.

No, not this deal, I mean what they paid for the Cooper S. This is a good deal. Anyone can come along and say, I pay £220 a month, but the initial rental might be £2000.

The old 290ps had 350Nm torque and was 5.9, they upped it to 300ps and increased torque to 380Nm and this dropped the time to 5.7. This car is back down to 290ps, but still 380Nm. No idea where 4.4 comes from.

Edit: going by the Seat price lists its 6 seconds.

It depends where you want to cherry pick the data. In terms of overall performance including launch and grip performance the Golf is superior.
4.4 to 60 nope.

The 310ps Golf with the DSG and 4WD doesn’t do it this quick. Fwd w/290 no chance

It should be given it costs more but on a trackday, very little difference.

I've never done a track day and likely never will so I don't have any opinion/data to debate that with you.
