Excuse my ignorance but how does the major / minor service work?

We have a 2yr old car that has just hit 10k miles and it’s suggesting a service is needed.
It's pretty much a minor service then a major service alternating years. That's what this offer will cover for 2 years. Some years there will be additional maintenance needed like if it's an automatic (dsg) you need to replace the oil in there after so many years or miles but the SEAT dealer should advise you of other bits that should be done. Both the minor and major service includes an engine oil and filter change, the major includes things like spark plugs and air filters. Hope that kinda helped (edited)

Why not just get it serviced at a decent local independent garage. You'll build up a rapport and trust with the garage and it should be a fair bit cheaper.
The deal is more for folk within warranty or who want to maintain main dealer service history.

For some it makes sense, but I agree for others it doesn't.

    Stupid price for the service.

Really is, sure it previously went in order of badge snobbery. Audi being the most expensive and Skoda being the least expensive for these service plans. Will probably still go for it tho as it is still a saving. Wonder if Audi would service my poor cheap SEAT? Bet their coffee is better

Since when is its more expensive to service a SEAT compared to the Audi and VW deals!
    Baffling isn't it!

Any idea if the all in package that includes warranty will also be offered at 25% off? Still showing as full price at £791 on the website.
    Only for Audi this year.

What’s the normal cost for a minor and major service these days?
    £369 for major, £209 for minor/interim.

    Been waiting for this deal.
Was slightly cheaper last year. Wish I purchased it then

I booked Seat Service last time via bookmygarage. Cheaper than the official website. You can compare them before booking, even 25% off. PS: service done by the same dealer. (edited)
I've been looking on there, and SEAT dont seem to come up as an option. (edited)

Thanks I will probably go for this, Iv just bought a 3 year old seat and tend to go dealer service at least for the first couple of years after purchase

Agree it’s a rip off but at least it 25% less of a rip off .

Plus the breakdown cover is a big bonus if you don’t already have it , I haven’t checked but that’s normally added for free? And they clean the car

Don’t use Capitol Seat Skoda in Newport. They don’t know what they do. Damaged my car during service . Had to fight with Seat UK to get compensation.
What did they do to your car? I've had to deal with SEAT uk before too, did find then pretty good in the end though.

    Is this available for Cupras?
I was about to say yes as I've had my SEAT cupra leon serviced with this offer for the past 2 years. But you might mean a Cupra leon or Cupra formentor, it's all very confusing these days. As they are basically the same thing I'd still like to think it would be a yes (edited)

    It's on now

I think this is a good deal.
    Major service £369 + minor service £209 = £578
I had booked it yesterday as my car is due a service this month and saw the promotion on the Seat website. I always book on the Seat site as you get 12 months breakdown cover for free with every service anyway.
However, be aware that none of the stated service charges or even the two year servicing deal does not include the brake fluid change. The main dealer stated it is required every two years. Main dealer charges £69 extra for this.
Really? Since when? Have had my leon since 2019, and booked service every year, sometimes two.. why has no one told me about the breakdown bit!!

got more info on that on where it can be said? (edited)

Anyone with any sense would buy a reputable brand of car.
? Had my 2014 Leon since new & not one single issue. Still runs as well now as it first did. Have you had a bad experience?

Has anyone changed their Seat Leon cambelt recently? Wanted to know how much it would roughly cost.
Yep, summer 2021 (not mega recent I know) - cost me £360 approx at a local garage (south coast england)

Anyone had seat arona , loosing phone connection ,
I have but no issues with phone connection.

Slightly confused as it specifically excludes breakdown cover then elsewhere says breakdown cover included when booked on line, was really looking for a discount on the “all in” servicing, mot, warranty and breakdown cover but doesn’t seem available might stick with my local independent garage
