Thanks! I have just done this.
If you want an idea what they are like, google National geographic traveler free pdf. Iv just seen the Jan/Feb 2018 .
Didn't see that, thanks :)
Probably £10 altogether if you cancel at 6 months in small print Subscriptions cancelled after the introductory offer but during the first year may be subject to £5 admin charge. But still a good price
OP, you should clarify that it is only for the magazine and not Nat Geo TV and its online content. Pedantic, but slightly misleading unless clarified as NatGeo offer a lot more than just mag online.
Great price, very tempting!
If you do nothing, your credit card will automatically be charged for another subscription year at the renewal rate then in effect. It won't be at £4.99 but at whatever the renewable rate is.
I guess it could be different from direct debit. From previous DD subscription deal, the cheap price remains the same in the following years. Just be aware of the letters/emails from National Geographic in a year time, or set up a reminder to check.
so will this be £4.99 every year or is this for new customers only?
Well, I might be mistaken but: - lots more adverts - more junk mail in with subscription issues - photos seem lacklustre (there's even a couple of our focus in the latest issue ffs) I used to look through and go WOW at breathtaking images and dream of being a NatGeo photography - now lots of them seem bland in comparison to past quality (interested in whether others agree or it's just a subconscious thing on my part)
Wish i knew that before i subscribed,i was under the impression it was a quality mag,i've seen the photo's on instagram & was impressed
I used to be an avid reader and renewed my subscription just before it went under Murdoch's ownership. Such a huge shame. It's utterly utterly rubbish now. I suggest you buy a copy and read through before subscribing to see if it is to your liking as this is not the NatGeo that I grew up with (and dreamed of being a photographer for them one day). I literally haven't been able to make it through reading one of them cover to cover since the takeover. I end up chucking it away after a couple of pages. Will not be renewing my subscription.
Or get it free via your local library online!
Good deal,i signed up earlier this week & paid £19 for both the mag & digital edition,i looked on TCB to see if i could get a cashback offer, but there was only one offer, but it was only the mag & no digital sub for £19 with £5.00 cashback
I received the first magazine today (September 2015 issue), a mere 6 and a half weeks after subscribing. (_;)
can you get the digital edition for this zinio are quoting £18 with 25% cash back from Topcashback
Nice one cheers. Just worked for me.
Yes can confirm that I did receive a confirmation email. Still confused as to how payment will be deducted when they don't have the cv2 code..
yes, I can confirm that i received the confirmation email in about 6h after submitting
i know just some over zealous person decided to expire it....it will work for ages, NG never seem to remove the links.
Not expired - still working...
o if you gift a subscription to yourself then it appears they wont automatically renew your subscription at the end of the 12 months
still works, checked my emails, and they had sent me the offer to, later offers were more expensive. click in top right to order for yourself. it takes aloooooooooong time for them to send the first issue. But worth the wait :)
The only catch is the four month wait to set up a subscription. Think they send the paperwork by carrier pigeon...
Dreadful reviews on Amazon.com
Like this though would be more tempted with this: https://www.23andme.com/en-gb/
What an interesting and novel gift idea, I would love this.
Or just go on Jeremy Kyle and get it for free ;)
Thought this was a great deal. Bought 2 - one on line only and another dual delivery. Less than £1 a month - cracking deal! I bought for a renew and a new customer. Although the new customer took longer to come through for some reason, it still came. Thanks OP. Heat added.
Couldn't see how to get this price unless it was a subscription renewal. Seemed to be £14.99 digital and £18.99 print, which is good value in any case.
Is this U.S only
I think it's going cold because It was £11 a few weeks ago there was a voucher for £4 off the £19 and then £4 back through quidco.
It takes you to the same page unfortunately, The one i listed before is fine i think , it takes you to the subscription options page...... this one...... http://www.nationalgeographic.com/magazines/lp/nav/
Try this, https://ngkidsubs.nationalgeographic.com/wes/servlet/EKMultipleLookupServlet I can't edit from my mobile x
And i struggled with the link........ http://www.nationalgeographic.com/magazines/lp/nav/
oooop's i meant to hit reply, i think if you go to edit you can change the description.
Nationalgeographic.com not geographical! Sorry!! :-/
You dont get the fleece or wall map with that though - and i definitely think the wall map will be worth having :) for an extra couple of quid.
Does this include the digital edition? Found this via the National Geographic website Digital only edition - £14.99 Digital + Print - £23.99 http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/ngs/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=X9999 Click "Buy National Geographic Digital Access (International).." Click the UK link
quality of the fleece is poor
Is that a joke?
I agree re fleece so buy it only if you really want the mag
£12 everything i buy it, including this year.
Do I get a free Autoglym car wash kit? :P
Used to subscribe, great pics! Interesting stories.........but i get them all in doctors or dentists surgeries these days. ;) worth it for £15!
If you would rather have the deal for £12 (i.e. without the fleece) give 0845 0450355 a call, sometimes they'll agree to a "deal" and sometimes they won't. 8)
You got the best deal then imo
I got the £12 Offer minus the fleece!
This is the standard offer from NG and, has been pointed out, the magazine is magnificent but the fleece is whatever the extreme opposite is. :)
It is, we had the offer a couple of years ago..
Just ordered this, so still available - thanks.
just received first issue after they took payment on 25 June, so just within 2 months. Great deal, mum made up as she has paid fiver per mag in the past.
Anyone had confirmation? I signed up but haven't had email confirmation. I called to check and they said it may take a few days. Weirdly I did the £15 as a gift and have already had two emails about that.
I didnt think this offer included the digical copies as well ?
Well worth it for £1 a copy delivered, thanks fungimala :)
Just got 12 issues for £12 using the link below, no fleece https://w1.buysub.com/pubs/NG/NGM/UK_Facebook.jsp?cds_page_id=96659&cds_mag_code=NGM&id=1371365536235&lsid=31670144296026574&vid=6&cds_misc_5=FBUKGF38
I joined this site because it helped me save money and I decided to contribute as a way of appreciation towards the HUKD community. Looks like I am in a different planet to guys like you. Still that's what makes the world interesting so you can think what you like.
Yes, that is a truly terrible tactic. Claim other peoples better deal are expired just to try to increase heat on their own deal.
If what you say is true why are you telling ME? Tell HUKD.
Well done you got a deal expired even though it isn't. Read the post and you'll learn you have to use a code for the £5 off.
I've ordered it too now. No confirmation email as yet
DEAL NOT EXPIRED! Just ordered a gift subscription today and as soon as I submitted the order, I was taken to an order confirmation page- with an email to follow within 24 hours (according to page). Last summer I bought a subscription (using this offer) and have never had a problem- although as a previous poster mentioned, it does take the full 12 weeks to receive the first magazine!! With regards to renewals, it does not automatically renew, but rather you have to renew your subscription on line- can even do it through the link on the "international" link mentioned in this post. Fantastic magazine- thanks OP!
Expired? Link still works and £12 seems the usual price these days anyway. It used to be £15 with the fleece. Anyone signed up recently?
One of the finest magazines in the world. Hot deal!
It's great value at the full price, but, £12 for 12, excellent (it took about 4 days to get the confirmation come through).
Very bad deal, avoid like the plague and go for the £12 mag only deal if it's what you are after, have had the jumper and can only agree with others in saying it's cr*p!
only £15 in http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ no map but you still get a jacket
You didn't miss much re the fleece - it's the worst quality item I've ever had the misfortune to own - binned.
this is a bad deal..i applied it last year and still got no fleece ..
cold at £19
