yep, cheers for listing them all.

If I didn't already have all of the Total War Collection this would be worth it. Hot for every else though!

It's okay if you don;t have Total War, but not much else there worth having to be honest.

FM2010?

Thanks for posting the deal, and it may be great for some, so Heat added, but since you mention Steam will be running individual deals on various SEGA games over this week I think I will just wait for those.

Apart from the Total War series there isn't much in this collection to get excited about.
Space Siege, Stormrise, The Club, Universe at War - all got at best mixed reviews

Already have Empire: Total War. If I didn't I'd probably buy this though.

MrShed;8630741

FM2010?

As I said, not much worth having ...

FM2010 can be had for less than £15 too - so if that's the only reason to buy this, it's best to buy seperately.

Tend to Agree with Macdory, I don't really feel like its something I'm missing out on, guessing this will come down again. All products are now classed as out of date software, i.e football manager 2010, were going to be in a 2010-2011 season soon etc.

Not until November for the game.. That's a looong way off yet.

Pardon my ignorance but is this for playing on the old sega megadrive

This one is already half way through its useful life to most fans of the game, though.

if this came with the alpha protocol pre order then it would be worth it, too much duff stuff in the package imo

I purchased one of the Splinter Cell games on steam and it didn't work. I researched the problem but couldn't find a fix. I then tried to get my money back but had no luck. They didn't respond to any emails I sent them, which is frankly unacceptable. No doubt their behaviour contravenes general sales practice.

The DRM sucks too.

This is a hot deal - shame I already have most of them on Steam, this would have saved me a small fortune!

If you are only interested in FM2010 and the newer total war games, cheaper to purchase at retail (all register to Steam):

Empire Total War: zavvi.com/gam…tml £13
Napoleon Total War: shopto.net/PC/…tml £11.86 (although saw in Game store for £10 at weekend)
Football Manager 2010: hmv.com/hmv…689 £15
Total: £39.86 - you do miss out on the rest obviously but is also cheaper if you only want the most recent main titles and don't care for all the minor DLC.

Most steam games are DRM free! blame the game publisher for that not the content provider...

You can download most steam games as often as you like on any PC you want with just your username/password and even back up games to a hard drive if bandwidth is an issue.

The only gripe i have with steam is their RRPs are generally a lot higher than retail versions but when they have deals they are generally outstanding value, especially at christmas.
And whenever i have had an issue with steam their support system generally responds within 24 hours.

It should probably be noted Steam are doing their "Sega - Sale Week" so they may well be individually discounting certain games like FM2010 and Total War, maybe.

Sorry to break it to you, but Steam is a form of DRM - you need to activate online. Infact it was developed as the DRM solution to HL2 and morphed into what it is today.

Looking at some of teh DRM solutions around today (i'm looking at you Ubisoft) Steam is by far the most practical, but it does sod all to prevent piracy, it just ensures that you cannot sell games on, so in effect it curtails the second hand market.

All valid points, but my main point being you have next to no restrictions with most steam games, other than the need to be online whilst playing or signing into a game. With regards to the resale of PC games a big majority come with an online element these days which usually requires you to bind a CD key to an account somewhere, again a fault of the publisher and not steam so you are going to struggle to sell any PC game these days with the exception of single player only games.

Most of my PC gaming is multiplayer so with steam friends it's the simplest of tasks to join a game with a friend/s without any fuss at all so being online to play the game is never going to be an issue with me.

Great deal if you dont have any of the games already esp for Total War, FM2010 and AVP the others are just filler games.

Personally I love steam and the way they approach their service. Yes it is a form of DRM but the fact that you can have the games on mutiple systems, automatic updates and patches is awesome for me. Yes like posted earlier their intial RRP is higher than boxed products but once they have a special offers on titles you want they are geneally on par or cheaper.

TBH second hand PC games market is pretty non exsistent these days and the pro's of using steam far out weigh the cons for me personally.

But not at this price ...

Don't get these games stations, no wonder we (not me) are an nation of fat slobs!!! Do kids not play sports anymore? My son is into karate, football and swimming, oh, and I mean the actual sports, not some silly computerised version that allow him to "play" while stuffing his face with crisps.

bet all the kids wanna play round your house!

honestly though, it's no different to any other form of entertainment media such as TV or movies.

sure, some people over-indulge, but that's not the fault of the medium itself.

not everyone who plays games is a fat slob, however it's safe to assume everyone who assumes they are fat slobs, are self-righteous, blinkered morons.

Good to see ignorance is still alive and kicking - do you read the Daily Mail?

I think the word you are missing is "moderation".

I play games a few evenings a week for an hour or two - I allow my eldest daughter to play on the PS3 in the living room for an hour a couple of evenings a week. This way, it's good fun and not obsessive.

Both my daughters also do lots of after school activities - dancing, gymnastics, recorder, etc - but I am a firm believer that they should not be banned from something the Daily Mail brigade deem to be bad for them ...

We should ban rock 'n roll too ...

Got these images from URL tinkering

Wednesdays offer:

Thursdays offer:

Just adjust the URL with the day 2 days ahead of time and you'll know what's up and coming. Not uncommon for Steam to do this on all offers not just this SEGA deal.

Hope this is of some help =)

hmm, seems you're wrong, today's deal appears to be the sega sci fi pack for £11.24, not all star racing...

fairy nuff, shall check back in an hour or two, see if it changes.

not expecting it to be that cheap, mind you - doubt it'll be cheaper than the 7.98 boxed copy deal from the other day anyway!

it is Sonic and Sega all stars racing on sale, but only 50% so now 9.99

Am I right in thinking that Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing has only split screen multiplayer and no online? This is a deal breaker for me

Want to buy Outrun on it's own but this doesn't seem to be an option.

hmm, weird.

could just be a bad link on the store, i guess. doesn't even show up if you search for it, except for in the complete pack.

if you must have it try: direct2drive.co.uk/210…oad

it's even 4p cheaper.
