The name at games should make you steer clear away from this, terrible terrible terrible emulation, even sega finally got rid of them for the mega drive mini and gave it to m2 to do the job (better choice)

Check at games history, they are notoriously known for shody work

If it's anything like the portable Mega Drive system developed by AtGames expect slow downs and poor sound quality.
Mod a psp instead far better

I'm guessing most reviews will be from adults that have bought it for a kid and neither have knowledge or care about accurate emulation. For those purposes these are fine. Most people that complain about atgames have probably never even tried a product of theirs.

Take most of the 'reviews' with a grain of salt. "Bought for my son/daughter/grandchild. 5 stars, thanks Argos."

Exactly that with the reviews on there. And agree with your other comment. I bought an AtGames console years ago. Not exceptional but not the absolute disgrace some people make out. Word I would use is serviceable.
The emulation on these is poor - the audio sounds like someone filled the speakers with mud. However, a while back I got these for my kids (aged 4 and 6 at the time) and they loved it. In my opinion a cheap alternative for handheld gaming for little ones. Also, took some punishment, worked after being dropped, thrown, trodden on and submerged in water! Add an sd card full of megadrive roms to this and my kids were mastering earthworm jim on the go. Bad console for those who remember the games, but a good little handheld console for little first time gamers.
