Incase anyones interested the games it includes are:
Alex Kidd, Alien Storm, Altered Beast, Arrow Flash, Bonanza Bros, Columns 3, Crack Down, Decap Attack, ESWAT, Fatal Labyrinth, Flicky, Gain Ground, Golden Axe, Shadow Dancer and Sonic & Knuckles.

Think this is well worth a punt, cheaper than on play too!

Think I'll just get the Sega compilation on the 360. About a tenner cheaper, and includes most of those games plus quite a lot more besides.

Yeah but you can put other carts in this!! and they are dirt cheap on ebay. Or you could just run an emulator on pc

Also any confirmation on when this is released. play have it at the 24th and amazon on 9th april

Or you could buy a real boxed Sega Mega Drive for less.

I'd love to support these things I really would, I loved the Mega Drive back in the 90's but having MD emulators freely available for the PC, PSP and even DS makes it very hard to justify paying for one of these things, no matter how immorral emulation is.

a softmodded xbox1 is a emulation powerhouse - the genesis emulator can even play mega cd & 32x games

the PSP is damn good too for emulation

This isn't REALLY a Megadrive, it's an emulator running on a 1 chip solution, as such it has sound issues and can't run all games (Virtua Racing being the standout example if I remember). Unlike a real MD1 or 2 it also can't output in "proper" RGB SCART so will look worse anyway.

Not to say you shouldn't, it does come with some good games but if you think you want to build a proper collection, or if picture and sound quality is important to you, then this is not your friend.

I still think these are a crazy price. Just pop on ebay and get a real megadrive or as a few people have mentioned there are plenty of emulator options.

I just ordered one for my brothers birthday. He hasn't got a computer or a ds so this is ideal.

I could have got one from ebay sure but when you add the cost of the 15 games, probably would be about £30 worth when you add the postage people tend to charge!!

I actually dug my old Megadrive out a few months ago and it's still under my TV right now..!

PAL crippled = fail

i don't think any price (especially not 30£) for an obsolete console is justified!
you can grab the real thing on ebay for alot less!

I think its a cool machine but you could literally get someone to GIVE you an old megadrive, thats how i built up my dreamcast and snes collections, people forget about them and consider them worthless lol

What the online service like (on a 50mb connection)?
does there still be alot of online servers?

This is a fair price for what your getting. Yes original Megadrives are cheaper, but you don't get 15 games with them.

However, this machine is known to have compatability issues with cartridges. So it isn't a complete solution.
