You definitely can. People are giving them away.

OK, show me where people are giving them away, I'd happily take one.
Good price, heat added. £25 too expensive for me though!

If its a model 1, buy a decent RGB Scart cable. Will make things look 10 times better.

Didn’t help that they’ve already made a hundred mega drive minis just not by sega ! And to be fair will you really play this for more than 4 minutes ( including setup time ) sometimes I think it’s better to have memories than try and relive them it spoils the magic maybe if they updated the graphics it would be worth it

If it'd only hold your attention for seconds, then this item wasn't designed for you! I love mine, I've spent hours on the thing, and I can't wait to hack it in future, which should prove to be brilliant...

Without the 6-button controllers, I wouldn't bite even at half this price. I don't like it when one region gets preferential treatment over others, even if it's this region. Everyone should have the same

It’s always been like that. Remember when the orange GameCube came out but not here obviously. Can’t think of a single time we’ve had something better than Asia / America markets

But are they buying them ?? Local game only has a couple and told me they’ve only sold one. It’s not exactly the same as the nes/snes mini panic buying !

The original only had 3 buttons. The 6 button one came out when Street Fighter 2 was launched (which is included!), so yeah, it should have the 6 button version.
Out of stock

I have ps classic mini with 128gb full of games, and i still want to put one of these under my tv next to it though, even if i barely use it, fairly sure others would too, thats the type of customer these are aimed at, otherwise i'd just have all the roms on my phone with my 8bitdo pad and leave it there
AndrewRunagall19/11/2019 12:51

You can't even get an original Mega Drive for £25 second-hand these days.

True story
omfgzbilly19/11/2019 13:05

Aye course ya can. Anyway, i'd much rather pay £50.28 for an OG

Yep plenty on eBay got one earlier this year delivered for under £20, but I do love the minis and would grab one of these once below £30

Did you not read my comment? 90% of MD owners in PAL territories had the original 3 button controller. That’s why they boxed it. If you want the six button - Just buy one and plug it in...

I have no idea how many SEGA has sold. As for Game - well I’m surprised they sell anything with the extra 10% they charge on everything.

£69.99 same as everywhere but yes I hate game and noticed they did put the SNES mini up and as for ps5 good luck trying to order that without their obligatory game and peripheral bundles to up the price

Ours was same as Japan , yes but same insides and probably still more American snes made than European and there’s were 60hz not 50hz so there’s were better and games ran faster

If you wanted a Megadrive to sit under your TV, I have about 20 consoles along with about 50 Game & Watches, all collected over the last 30 years you would have an original sitting there ! Well I would ! Not this fiver piece of crap with no value / history / esteem at all to it ! and yes play your games on your hacked 128GB PSX, I've sold them all for a living over the last 25 years and thats the way most of my customers are ! Collect the originals Display them if you have the room, or keep them safe and play every game you could ever imagine on your PSX

Everyone to the own I suppose !

£65 on play asia for the Japanese (six button) version, not sure if it's cheaper elsewhere. You can also get the tower of power from them, although £50 seems a bit expensive for some empty plastic cases...

Exactly! And that's not accounting for inflation. A £60 game in 1995 would now be £113 now. Hard to believe but also explains why you had far fewer games back then!

That’s not exaclty true is it ? What about £4.99 amiga and ST games ? Street fighter 2 was £65 because it was popular game but so was mario Kart and that was £29.99 !! The chips in the carts were more expensive to make than a cd / dvd / Blu-ray disk

What's not true about 'some games being £60' and 'with inflation that being £113 now?' I remember games like Super Metroid, Secret of Mana and Streetfighter being priced at about this level and I remember having not many games as a result.

(and incidentally let's not get started on Neo Geo games which would be over £350 in today's money EACH...)
