You definitely can. People are giving them away.

OK, show me where people are giving them away, I'd happily take one.
Good price, heat added. £25 too expensive for me though!

Yes because all the tech was in the cartridges and not the actual console ( plus smaller company than Nintendo and sega )

You said there was less games when there was thousands

"why you had far fewer games" - as in "why people owned far fewer games". Huge gaming backlogs is only a problem in recent years.

But games are £50 now on Xbox and PlayStation? So your never going to own more than 10 , same as SNES and megadrive or am I not understanding you?

You're not taking into account inflation. £50 now is the same as £25 back then.

Plus, game prices used to stay high back in the day. Now they halve in price quickly

And you couldn't get dirt cheap SNES/megadrive games back in the day whereas you can get extremely cheap Xbox/Playstation games now..

No that’s not right ? The Amiga had pocket money £4.99 games ? Inflation goes up but not that much games have always been a rip off and disks are usually cheaper because they scratch , bet a second hand switch game is more expensive than a second hand Xbox / PlayStation game ( fifa for example ) because it’s a cartridge

Inflation does go up that much, those are the official government numbers.
And yes, sure the Amiga had some £5 games (£10 in today's money) but we're not talking about Amiga games, we are talking about Megadrive and Megadrive-type games in this listing.

It is a fact that they cost about £50 with inflation accounted for (for 1 game).
It is a fact that this is about £50 (for 42 games) - and with the console included.

You are arguing about something else.

No not really ? Your talking about how much computer games were ? Cartridges cost more to manufacture than disks ? Look at PC games for instance

It’s always been like that. Remember when the orange GameCube came out but …It’s always been like that. Remember when the orange GameCube came out but not here obviously. Can’t think of a single time we’ve had something better than Asia / America markets

But isn’t the fact that it’s always been like that the problem? If we keep buying the second class stuff, companies will continue to treat us as second class. I refuse to buy simply because I don’t consider myself second class.

If all consumers said in one voice “no thanks, not until you give US what you gave them” then they’d be forced to do so because they’re products aren’t selling for that reason. You only have to look at the recent redux of the Sonic movie to see what the power of ‘No’ can actually achieve.

Don’t settle for less. Iconic or not, it’s still less!

We might be a small island but I can’t see everyone say no thanks to a PS5 for example if we don’t get same colour scheme as say America ! Guess it’s just purely down to sales and if we were as big a market we would be treated the same but we are the other side of the world and clearly buy less in comparison , maybe it will change with “euro” models but I guess they can’t do that on systems which have different plugs / voltage and only on usb retro mini consoles
Hi all

Do you expect the prize20 codes back anytime soon ?

Does eBay do these often ?
