A couple of years? That's quite a feat considering this only came out on October 4, 2019. Are you a time traveler?

Back in the day, we played these on small CRT televisions, certainly not 4K screens like we have today. I've got this and the SNES version and they're both horrid on the big screen. Perfect for a handheld but tbh, most will be disappointed

I don't agree but then I love the look of these old 16 bit games, just look how many modern indie titles copy them such as Shovel Knight.
Road rash is awesome. Only streets of rage 2 tho, no 1 or 3 is dissapointing.
Surely it would have been cheaper for them to make them all the same for all regions?! Ah, so annoying.

Worth it at this price as now you have project lunar & hakchi available.

Why wouldn't they do 6 button pads?! Essential for street fighter!

And not all the Sonic games are there either Which I found out when I unboxed mine last week.

Whats worse is that other regions do have the 6 button pads. Japan at least.

Yeah I think that's what makes the Japanese version better.

Some excellent games here. Nice to see Earthworm Jim and Toejam and Earl on the list.

no Cannon Fodder though!

All the NHLs and all the Streets of Rage and I'll be set.
You can't do this on Nintendo!

Yeah, you can, quite easily
Miniature SEGA Mega Drive replica
I'm sure this is easy enough to hack, given the SNES Mini's capabilties. I have Nintendo and Sega games on mine.

As others have mentioned, you'd need to purchase a six-button pad on amazon, but at least you can get an official one.

Project Lunar will help you add them and any that are missing that you have to have on there.
Is it worth spending £50, just for the nostalgic vibe? I've just bought a Firestick and it looks easy enough to install Retroarch and ROMS on there to emulate games, given that I can also connect it to the 'HDMI in' on my Xbox One?

Might aswell just get a raspberry pi and whack retropie on that, you get the entire libraries of all old consoles for the same price as this

I read Project Lunar was on the horizon.

I'm tempted to see what my Firestick is like with Retroarch installed. Saves me £50 I guess.

Project Lunar has released but will continue to be updated. Many people want the official unit and pads rather than a raspberry pi. If you get one and want to add the games you feel it is missing or has to have then Project Lunar is the way (also maintains the original UI so looks sleek)

For the nostalgia case and pad it's up 5o you. If your already emulating the games somewhere else, maybe not. I have all the games on my hacked Ps classic and Pi3B+. So I have no need for this. But I do still kinda want it for the case and pad alone

They may be referring to the AT Games version, which is inferior in every regards.

Urgh the AT Games version. Everyone should do themselves a favour and avoid those like the plague

We've currently a save file that's 27 hours long on Tetris Attack on our SNES mini

Agree with other posters, there are thousands of devices you can buy/adapt to emulate things on, but there's something nice about having the proper hardware and replica pads. Even though our SNES is now like Trigger's broom as we're running with a pair of 8bitdo pads.

When I tried emulating on a Firestick, it had high input lag when using bluetooth controllers. I wouldn’t bother if you’re sensitive to it. Certainly not a patch on these mini consoles or an Nvidia Shield.
ill probably bite at 40

No, people don't need to stop if they don't want to.
Would be interesting to do a comparison of each mini - PSX vs NES vs SNES vs PCE vs MD - and which is best since all likely hack able to play each other’s Roms: Nin switch works great on retroarch

Thanks, pal. Maybe I'll stick to IPTV. Tempted by this. My sister tax has the SNES Mini and I hacked that, but I've always been a Sega guy myself. Could always get some SNES games on here, no doubt. Although I'd need a six-button pad upgrade

I actually really like the SNES Mini - I think the picture looks decent enough on the TV and I just think the look and feel of the console / controllers is really nice! Never had a chance to live in that era of gaming so it gives me a chance to nerd out with a physical system. Can't say I've used this though so can't comment on the mega drive

Hmm, I haven't tried to synch my Bluetooth genesis controllers yet... Still, a firestick, Sega games and 2 controllers, costs about the same as this?
Some nice games on the list.
No mega-lo-mania, psycho pinball, or mortal kombat
