I have this little 38mm beauty
Seiko 5's are great and reliable, so not a bad watch at all, but it's very meh. (It's my opinion don't kill me).
So bland as to be boring.
For not much more you can quite regularly get something classically bland but classier and from a more interesting brand.
I do find the way Seiko has become an albeit classier Fossil to be a tad de-valuing of the marque and one of the reasons why after I finally managed to lay hands on the SNK807 I started to swerve Seiko's for Orient and even the recent rush of Spinnaker sales...
Someone said to me not long ago that £100 could get a very decent Seiko 'dress watch.' I'm not a snob but that sort of defeats the object of a 'dress watch' really.
If you don’t want an high end investment timepiece then this is probably asound buy.
I have to remind myself that not everyone buying a watch does so to build a collection. Some just want 'the one watch' and then it really is a case of floating your boat with something worthy of your money and Seiko 5's generally deliver that for sure...
no it does look nice. Heat (edited)
