More realistically the watch is £140.60 Delivery VAT and duty paid c/w full retail packaging.

If you go the Royal Mail route there are additional costs for postage, the watch is shipped with a cheap basic unbranded flat packed card box and VAT and fees may well apply on receipt from RM.

What about import tax?
Pay for the royal mail delivery.

So it’s NOT £122 and additional VAT and fees may apply upon importation?
Do a google on the creationwatches delivery options.

I am intimately familiar with the Creation Watches delivery options, the historical successes associated with paying for the the RM option (no retail packaging), the changes in recent years and the inevitable DHL VAT, Duty and “handling fee” associated with FREE shipping. As are many regular users on this site.

Unfortunately there are many users not so familiar and why deals need to accurately reflect the true costs and not mislead, unintentionally or otherwise.
You can still be stung on customs VAT even with Royal Mail option. It depends what they put the value as. Any item coming into the UK costing more than £15 you will need to pay VAT. If it gets picked up by customs then you will also have to pay an £8 Royal Mail admin fee plus the VAT on top of this.

Absolutely, which is the frustration with these unmonitored Creation Deals.

On the plus side, the prepaid DHL option that appears to have recently been introduced looks good to me. From what I see it means you get your Free DHL delivery, pay VAT at 20% and pay £5 “insurance” per shipment. So if you buy two watches, watch 1 is VAT plus £5 and watch 2 is VAT only.

Avoiding the handling fee upon receipt and knowing exactly what you are paying works for me.

Not sure about watches over £135 as prepaid there appears to still be no duty?

Great watch, got mine from Amazon Global US DDP UK when it was a tad over £200.
Mine was a tad over £200 as well. Seiko dealer and 3 year warranty with original packaging. Not many left and lower price is hard to get. Fakes out there as well.

Maybe you should post it as a deal?
It would certainly attract a lot of heat.
Quite a minefield with customs and taking a risk on the VAT. It's like this deal I spotted on Amazon:

Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre 5

About £800 cheaper than available from UK retailers (online and in-store) but a bit of a risk getting it posted from abroad.

The prepaid option is clear, concise and could not be any more straightforward for an Asian based seller.

Regards the Aquaracer, I’d be more worried about it coming from a new selling account without any history than it coming from Bulgaria.
