The other bond on a budget seiko automatic snzf17k1 is out of stock and have been looking for one but nothing is less than £120 elsewhere. This is the snzf17j1 which is suppose to be better, remember reading on the internet. Hopefully helps someone who is looking for a decent watch but not rediculously priced like a rolex

Nice looking watch, but for diving it should ideally be rated to 300m, as the rolex is. Heat added though.

Bought watch from Creation Watches earlier in the year - Very good service, arrived in 3 days

Nice, very similar to the sub mariner.. I like it!!
Tempted, but had my eye on a Invicta 8926 ob...decisions?

Read somewhere that invitica used Seiko automatic movement. I decided to go with Seiko as it is trusted for years, original than borrowing from other brands and this one carrys 2 years international guarantee. I was also tempted by invitica

I was about to order but then see this one, Any help in deciding? Many Thanks In advance (_;)

The skx007 is by far and away the better watch and at £115 it's a no brainer

review here

another here and some history

It's pretty much an iconic watch.

oops just seen that you went for the other one. hmmm

I bought the 007, been after one for ages and at that price - awesome deal. Was tempted by the 009 too... Mustn't ... Buy ... Both ....

Definitely, the 007 is a proper 200m diver so good for more than using in the shower, that price is also bit high for a Seiko 5 from the far east.

Either that or pay a little bit more for a Monster which gets you a truly unique icon rather than one that pays homage to something else. Thumbs up for CW too as that's where I got my black monster from a couple of months ago.

Just to echo that Creation are really good, if you do get stung for customs it's just unlucky and the watch will still be cheaper than if bought in the uk.

Nice watch, perfect for bargain hunters like us! Not that great for people who spend there time 300 m below our beautiful oceans..

Just in case people don't know the depth ratings are totally misleading, in very basic terms you can read them as 100m meaning a bit more than water resistant, 200m meaning totally waterproof for normal use and 300m are the big boys that can be used for serious diving.

Much as I like seiko, saying its like a Rolex is just nonsense.

And about the depths, almost everyone in my office has a Rolex. And none of them care about the depths or go diving.

the movement doesnt looks like has 21 j in there

How do we check this?

Has the 7s36 auto movement..... which is 23 jewels.

But as been said earlier, i reckon the skx007 is a better buy.

I guy from the UK on Watchuseek recently bought the 007 from here.....
global.rakuten.com/en/…k2/

Its a great price, but then he did get stung for import taxes of about £30, plus Royal Mail admin charge...... but its also possible to get stung ordering from Creation as well.

Another vote for the SKX 007 or 009 or 011. I've had all three from creation at various times. You simply cannot buy a better automatic dive watch for the money. All my creation orders have been marked as $20 measuring equipment and never attracted customs or duty charges.

As above, cheaper prices direct from Japan on Rakuten, but the first time I ordered a watch from there I got stung for duty which wiped out the savings.

No worries Several reasons for the J1 mainly the the bracelet prefer the oyster type over the jubilee and it mirrors the classic Sub mariner to the T.

Having said that I Will be purchasing a 007 in the near future just got to source an original oyster style bracelet? If they exist?...haven't had time to research at the minute.

I'm sure I'll be happy with the watch and quality being a Japanese build anyway.

Fully agree. I love the close resemblence to submariner particularly the bracelet and dial.

Got my watch this morning and WOW!! Can't thank you enough Op..it's pure art really really pleased with it...

3 days and no important charges

You won't be disappointed...had mine resized at the jewellers for £5 and set correctly, had a freak out moment they sent me a Japanese (mon,Tues, we'd, etc) but jewellers sorted that saying she'll set it (english) apparently it's normal to have 2 languages on a the day disk, but I wouldn't see the Japanese again (hopefully)..

Will see tomorrow, I am not a watch man so probably to yourself and others it's the norm...

As yourself, and many others it seems, haven't been stung for import taxes from Creation, its persuaded me to take a chance on this company myself. Just ordered a 2nd gen Monster.
I hope this first time buying experience from Creation will be a good one.

I've had one before, the 1st gen Orange Monster..... but i just couldn't gel with the orangeness of it, tried hard to like it, but it just didn't work for me so i sold it.
Gone for a more conservative black this time and the newer wind & hack movement is an added bonus as well.

just a heads up this is now on offer for £101

Or £94 for those that aren't bothered about having 'Made In Japan' on the dial.
No difference in quality.... you get Seiko's excellent quality in whatever factory of theirs it's made in.
