I've tried the new code and can confirm it works £748.80.

Did you purchase one?
bigbaz12/01/2020 12:42

No. just checking the deal out.

Me either
A nice watch, it's worth £600 not any more,
but definitely double the quality of finish of say a Turtle and better than a Sumo.
Unfortunately this model may not drop much in price, so if you want it get it.

I bought a Sports 200 Ti in 1997 in a sale for £325
It's worth more than that now in rough shape
And I would buy a NOS for say £500 in a heartbeat.

Higher grade Seiko pull on the heartstrings.
Life's short, never have regrets and don't say sorry unless you mean it.
Hmmm... This or the blue hole 🙈😩 :/

It's worth what people will pay for it.

And frankly Seiko prices have been creeping up anyway.
Change the code for vday and get it for £732
I really like this watch and this isn't a bad price but have seen it for £650 not too long ago. I'm sure it'll be that price again at some point.
Looks like a Harrods special edition though..
Paid £650 in November @ Watcho.
Im conflicted, its a nice watch and i like Seiko and the lume will be top notch, but they still suffer misalignment issues on chapter rings and bezels - and it just seems well over priced really. Seiko has always been the goto brand to recommend for a great value watch but those days have passed now. If you must have seiko its a nice watch, but we are well within swiss watch territory. I dont see why this watch should be over £500 ..what was the sarb017 retailing for before it was discontinued? it was sub £300 wasnt it? and that wasnt that long ago. Same sapphire glass and movement. So im not quite sure why this watch should have a £979 retail price...its also worth considering this is no longer a throw away watch and will need a service at some point. Seikos service leaves a lot to be desired from what i have seen.

Orient is filling Seiko's precious sweet spot now. Its the same with all the big watch groups, different brand names for different price points. The money will ultimately go to the same people in the end.
Agree with the above. Seems very expensive compared to what I paid for my Prospex a year or so ago. At that price I'd be trying to get a few hundred more and look towards a Longines or something similar.
Not voted either way.

Could you amend "ammended" to "amended" as a further amendment?

No photos to hand, but has good dial alignment and I have no regrets. A nicer watch than the spb051 in my opinion.
Only a Seiko

I love the Tudor one of those
Not worth that i'm afraid

A lot of the Seikos are being heavily reduced ATM, so i'd keep out for a better price or if you have the ££ go for it !

Lovely watch....

First time I've heard of it "ammending" words to ones which don't exist.

It's funny, I have an image of you walking around Asda (sorry, "Asdas") with your mouth wide open and your stained tracksuit bottoms halfway down. You've resorted to this weird dialogue because you're waiting for the "whoopsie" shelf to be replenished, and you have some time to kill.
"Silence is golden" - right back atcha, pal.

Yup, most 'real' watch sellers have put their prices up between 20 and 35% over the last few years.

Take a cheapest prices of
UK Bulova Moon watch from £225-250 to £350-400

UK Old Sumo £340 to new Sumo £440

Even imported Bulova 262khZ all versions
from £45- £275 to £155-275

I'd only ever buy one brands as an import now ,Glycine.

Especially after the imported £45 262khz I bought as a spare movement died after 2 months. Joma..

Allegedly smart watches are/were the death of the standard watch (my wallet says different).

NO, the chapter ring/bezel crown guard and any other areas let down by cheaper Prospex watches aren't a failure on any of the 60's reissues.

All the MAS Seiko's are a different breeds,
Go to YT and see any review check them all, they're good.

I have a few flawed Seikos,
but my 62MAS re-issue, re-issue is design perfect.

Thats the very first video i saw and either the dial or chapter ring appears to be out of alignment. I have also heard others with the watch complain about it.

That YT dude rotated a 120 click bezel 1 click too far! Likely on purpose from the beginning.
Read the comments.
39661945-JZcTb.jpgBut you could also be correct,
fact I hope you're right, it could make my perfect one worth more money!
The multiple reviews I read before committing to a similar watch showed them faultless.
Not so Sumo/Samurai/Turtle.
Its too hard to tell without viewing in person I think. They are nice watches either way.
