Good find was posted 5 days ago on here for £39.99 so further £5 reduction!
must resist - must resist........
Reviews suggest these are very old stock so you should budget for a new battery too (good chance it'll arrive 'dead'. Still great value though!

Case diameter 44mm - that's quite big - be aware.

I would have thought the crown would be disengaged to prevent the battery running down as is normally the case.

Well, I'm just reflecting the reviews where several people had this issue. The watch is still very good value (if the large size suits you) but I think it's as well to be aware of this.

Hot, BTW.

Fair enough. What reviews? I can't see any on the Argos site stating that.

I guess they've been in stock a long time (that model was launched in 2010) and I can't imagine Argos sorting through them for dead batteries. The ones still running probably have a short life remaining. Elsewhere they're being sold as 'refurb', which probably means batteries have been replaced. I guess they're not legally new if that has been done?

Anyway, it's not a reason not to buy but budget on a new battery: £3 on the market or £10++ at Timpsons?
Just orderd , sieko good watch thx

Not for me, I have far too many chronos already!
Oos
Mine arrived today nice looking watch not too big either looks all new apart from the outer box
Received mine today. Outer box was tatty but inner box is fine. Came with all the paperwork and a working battery. Looks much better than the image. It's shiny not matte, and the strap is a little too narrow for my taste, but I will be buying a stainless steel strap to replace it with.
