AMJ have some cracking deals on Seiko watches just now, but this is such a Billy Bargain that I decided that I had to post.

Stainless steel case and bracelet.
SAPPHIRE Crystal (Oh Yeah!).
Case Thickness 12.25 ㎜
Case Diameter 42.9 ㎜
Movement Caliber 7D56 Kinetic
Water Resistance 100M
Product Code SNP153P1

PLUS the 7D56 has the auto relay power saving feature, so if you rotate watches, when you take it off, after a bit it will just stop, go to sleep, and conserve its power. Then when you next want to wear it, pick it up, time, date etc. will set automatically and off you go.

In my minds eye I had a vision of the word Seiko popping up on your phone as a keyword alert, and then your sense of abject disappointment when you saw the “S” word.

It's sacrilegious to put sapphire on a seiko, but then this is kinetic and not automatic. It's for the less discerning watch buyer.

Kinetic watches are a great tool, especially with the Auto Relay Power saving function. Dead handy if you rotate watches, prefer automatics but want the comfort of knowing you can throw on a Kinetic when in a hurry.... whilst still having the feel of that rotor arm swish.
That’s some saving 👌🏻
I would never buy another kinetic. An utter waste of money. I lost mine in the house and when I found it a year later is was dead as a dodo. Once the capacitor is left unused for a while it dies and changing it costs a fortune as they are not easy to swap out. You might as well buy a battery powered watch.

Rule No1 with Kinetics is not to leave them fully discharged for a sizeable length of time. However I am pleased to say as detailed, this particular Kinetic being a high end model, has the auto relay power saving 7D56 in it so that it will survive years neglected in a drawer.
Nice looking watch.
On the website, it says that the RRP is £699. Looks good though - my local retailer.

Simpkins have the watch on sale reduced down to £499 from £699 hence the next cheapest.
Beautiful watch! Good price I believe! Want one, but should I spend that much money :/

It is a fiddly job, that's for sure. I did mine myself about a year ago after reading advice on here. Not sure which bit was harder - undoing the screws which needed a 0.8mm screwdriver (which I still needed to sand down to make fit), or realigning the mylar film when replacing the 'capacitor'. Still, glad I did it and it cost me £15.
There's a Prospex homage of a 62MAS homage for £450 that is an absolute bargain, unfortunately it's the tasteless PADI dial version.

Anyone know where to buy reliable/good value screwdrivers like this size? I need to switch out an electronic board from a Ronda quartz.

Try cousins UK dot com ... you very much get what you you pay for with jewellers screwdrivers.
Great buy. Had this on a blue version a few years back. It feels and looks like a £700 watch. Very clever perpetual calendar and cool power conserving 'pause' feature.
So tempted! Also with black leather strap:

I’d never buy another Seiko again. I bought a Kinetic a few years ago - just outside of the warranty period the counterweight fell off its spindle. Yes, fell off! Seiko weren’t interested. I repaired that myself only to find that the capacitor had failed, so more work. It then lasted another 12 months max before dying again. I bought a Longines to replace it.

Agree with this very happy with mine (SNP0003P1). Checked when I bought and was in 2006, still works perfectly and the sapphire glass means the face is pretty much scratch free. It also has the relay function and happily survived for over 2 years of no use - waking up perfectly. Think I’m right in saying the ‘perpetual’ bit means it maintains the correct date at the end of each month and corrects for leap years.
I have a few Seiko autos- this thing looks awful

Likewise I am a fan of a lot of Seiko’s and even more so if they have a degree of rarity being a non UK/Europe release like this, but this one also is not for me as I am a non Chrono, non clutter dial kinda fella.

Great price, love my Seiko kinetic.
I have titanium kinetic which is so light on the wrist. Don't think I could go back to heavier watch again.
I also lost mine for 4 months. When I found it was dead. Easily recovered though, just had to shake it for like 1 hour solid

Unbelievable, Lost it in the house for a year ???? Must have a bloody big house if it took you a year to find it.
I'm normally a serious watch buyer but it's hard to believe anyone's in a watch buying mindset right now.
I've had mine 11 years. The sapphire glass is scratch free and I've done EVERYTHING in the watch from playing football to rock climbing to white water kayaking. Still perfect. Has been my favourite bar none.

It was wedged behind the bed in the guest room. I was probably sleeping in it after a row with the Mrs or something.

Just the opposite for me. I am giving myself a treat if the family is all still in one piece by the new year. I have my eye on a nice Oris dive watch. It's little things like that that keep me going at the moment.
To Buy or not to buy is up to you! Simple...

Each and every one of our circumstances will differ and whilst I understand for some COVID-19 might have an impact on certain planned or potential purchases, for me (and many others I suspect), it will have no impact.

Nabbed this one yesterday. Could not decide between the two, and was doubting whether I even need one. But if the actual retail price and worth is 500+ gbp, then this is an offer I could not miss. So persuaded me to get one haha

The black one! Was mighty tempted to go for the all-metal, but there is something about the black and bronze esthetic that appealed to me. Might be the wrong decision when I see it in real life, but it looked great in the videos (unlike in the pics).
Will let you lot know about the decanter
