It does say this though once added to basket:

Good price for this watch. Never owned a kinetic. Anyone got any feedback on this watch?
I’ve owned one of these for several years , it’s my daily go to watch and quite a substantial lump of metal , takes everything I’ve ever thrown at it , never missed a beat , hope I’ve not jinxed myself now , but if it ever did pack in it’s one of the few watches in my collection that I would replace with the same, couldn’t be without it.
I’d like the “Save the ocean” limited edition Seiko think the face is a blue colour! Preferably for around £200!
Also got this one from Ernest jones for £175 last week

On which one mate the save the ocean or the PADI?

Save the ocean...
Cheers
I got those 2 and the black face solar diver and blue face padi too. Sold the save the ocean one on to my brother in law for what I paid(£145) and I'm going to keep the other 3 as they only cost £100 each.

How? I used the £100 discount code they give( returned my first order and then reorded) to buy them on 2 separate orders so they were £145 for the save the ocean and then £125 for the other 3. The box with one of them and the bracelets on the other 2 of them where scuffed( easy to re ploish) so ernest jones refunded another £25 each for 3 of the watches making them £100.

I was going to return 1 but now I don't need to!

10 percent off code mate it was £199 so got it for 179. All sold out pretty quickly
Never again a Kinetic, neither has the grace of an automatic, nor the effortlessness of a solar.

I've had one of these for about 28 years. The early Kinetics charged a capacitor that had a maximum lifespan of about 10 years, so when my capacitor died I replaced it with a rechargeable battery, like the newer ones have. The batteries will last more like 20 years before needing to be replaced.
Apart from that the only difference s between mine and this one are that mine has the Pepsi colours on the bezel, weekday and I think the case shape is very slightly different.
It has a solid, quality feel and the Sapphire glass has never scratched even though I wear it every day. Kinetics will keep running for maybe a month on a full charge without being worn ( I think the latest ones detect when they're not being worn and go into sleep mode and will keep time for up to 6 months) , compared to maybe 24 hours for an automatic.
Get one.

Owned a few Kinetics, 2 of them failed to hold a charge after not charging for some time (left in drawer), not that impressed and prefer Citizen Eco drive, owned several without a problem. I have owned 2 of this particular watch over the years, built like a tank but for me just too heavy and bulky. If you are happy with a heavy watch with potential problems with the rechargeable cell, this is the ideal watch. Of course everyone is different and I guess others love the watch and have had no problems with Seiko cells.

In amongst my watches I have three Seiko Kinetic Watches and have owned all without any issues. However I never allow them to run TOTALLY flat. All three have the 5M82 or 5M83 movements which when fully charged should have 4 to 6 months of battery life.
Everything I have ever read indicates that leaving the watch with a totally flat battery can kill the battery, hence the above.
For me they are great because I only need were for a couple of days every so often and when I want a swap and am in a hurry, there is no need to set time and date as with my automatics.

Yep, I think the fact that they where not worn and the cell must have dropped below a rechargeable, actually screwed the watches, to replace the cell means taking off the rotor so I just sold them.
