Can anyone explain these ‘solar’ watches? I’ve seen a few Seikos and some G shocks with solar on them, genuinely have no idea what that means on a watch. My guess would be solar powered? So this is neither auto nor quartz?

Solar cell recharges the battery that powers the quartz movement

Quartz with the battery charged from solar.

I'm beginning to think that about seiko's in general. All these special edtion's of the same old watches. Mind you it gives people plenty of choice. And seemingly lots to talk about.

And that’s the upside, plenty of choice and in a world where one persons meat is another persons poison, it can only be a good thing.
I don't mind it. I wear a white G-Shock. They thing wouldn't and hasnt died must be 7 years on the same battery. Anyway,I could wear this on the MTB like I do the casio.
I think it would look so much better with a black shroud and a red or black strap. Each to their own but it’s not my taste. I guess I’m too old for a ‘street’ watch
They should have re-released the original white.41790777-99zMh.jpg
That IS white
This would look good with a new set of turkey whites and a pair of Huaraches 🤭
To many black watches - Am I the only person who likes this? Hot!
