Good price.

Beyond me why people shoot marketing photos with the crown out! About as odd as Seiko choosing to put Sapphire on random sub-£100 watches, but forcing people to live with Hardlex on £500 watches!

Compare to smart watch and snare phone. Actual watch look outdated.

Let me see. You are under the age of 25?

Thanks for this op. Managed to reserve one. For me its a good deal as well as a good purchase. Not being a wealthy person and being able to get a well manufactured watch by a respected watchmaker at a decent price that I can pass down to my son some day whether he wears it or not is important to me anyway. Plus I like to wear a nice watch on nights out etc, which I understand most people don't do nowadays. Anyway, I think this was a good spot, the heat is well deserved in my opinion.

Bargain at the price for sapphire crystal Seiko.
I've got the blue dial version which was slightly more and very few left.
I think they've phased these ones on in favour of the solar models ( which I think have less water resistance).
Heat added
*On = out

is the sapphire not the crystal that runs the mech?

No that's a quartz crystal
The sapphire refers to the"glass"
Sapphire is pretty much scratch proof and rarely seen on low or mid priced watches
Great price, but not a fan of gold trim on watches.

interesting, only ever seen the blue sapphire gemstones.
Lovely looking watch!!
For any Costco members looking for a Seiko on a bracelet around this kinda price, Costco have the SHEG67P1 at £71.98 which is IMHO a far better buy, and available. Amazon are next cheapest at £120.

It'll be dual language, so don't worry about it. Once you set it to English you won't see those letters apart from a small period of time as the watch clicks over around midnight.

Tempted to replace a automatic which ain't holding good time.

Nice, but not for me.
It looks a bit "easy reader" and I'm not ready to succumb to that yet
Yvmv, is it quartz or an auto?

Quartz but more importantly, don’t knock a bit of easy read Seiko. and if I could find a mint ska691p1 I’d take a chance on it as well and hope the Kinetic was not goosed.

If it's a Seiko it's easy to adjust.
Just unscrew the back and you'll see a wee lever with a +/- symbol. Move it *very* slightly in the direction you require. I repeat, *very* slightly.

Are you being needlessly argumentative? Just wondering.

All of the £200 - £350 Seiko Presage watches I've been looking at are Hardlex. It's ridiculous. Beautiful watches, but I know the scratches are going to come thick and fast.

Oh OK. Turtle and Samurai are I believe the closest to that price range. £400-500 range (rrp) depending on edition. All hardlex.
Nice find, OP. Heat added

They use it with most of their non-dive watches as well, and they use sapphire with their more expensive dive watches, so not gonna give them a pass for that lol.

How much would it cost to do that?
Got the time on my phone. Not needed

It's the glass

this was £70 from Argos last year and I’m quite fond of it.

The irony; mocking someone’s typo with such grammatically odious pomposity.
watches are a strange purchase. you have to spend a lot for it to have any second hand value. I guess if this is your specific style its a good buy.
