Let’s get some photos while you all search for circa £300+ sale watches to apply the code to.
Tried this on instore. Really nice dial just too big for my 6.5 inch wrist
How does the black coating hold up over time???

I only have one Seiko with an IP coating, a Gun Metal Kinetic which has held up well after 2 years with no signs of “rubbing off” having been worn more than most. Any minor marks would be expected in any other stainless strap. That’s not to say I would defo buy another, but I would not be wary of doing so.

You are the very person the Mini Turtle Watch was created for.
I've had one of these for the last couple of months and the coating is holding up fine.
Very good price and no sign of the coating tarnishing after 6 months but only minimal use.
Does the automatic need resetting time wise or do they keep good time as long as worn

Yes, I have the PADI version. I bought it after trying this one on in a store and was so excited I then hunted down a mini turtle and bought it. I am calmer now!

In a word, yes. Technically the spec says the 4R35/4R36 is between +45 / -35 secs a day, but I never had one that bad, maybe +/- 10 secs with some at maybe 5 seconds. If you change watches a lot it is no issue, but if you only wear one, you may want to buy a Quartz or Kinetic if you like the rotor feel.

Diameter of case is 42mm. However the watch and bezel sits on top of the cushion case and that has a diameter of 37mm (this is what you really see of the watch). The diameter of the glass itself is only 30mm. This is the only watch that wears small on my 6.5 inch wrist.

I do like a larger face so maybe the prospex is right for me

Depends on your wrist size and preferences for larger watches

It wears small because the lug to lug is only about a fifth of a mm longer than the case diameter. Typically the lug to lug is a good bit longer than the case diameter.

Lovely and good price. I paid 250 for my STO turtle with rubber strap which itself was a good deal this one is better.
These seem to bounce in and out of stock a lot! crown just looks a bit odd at 3 though i suspect its best to see this one in the flesh

Well Well Well.... Seiko QC issues strike again!
Looking closer at the watch and I noticed the 12 o'clock double marker don't line up with the inner chapter ring it's offset and the only thing I see when I look at the face now!

Think I'm done with Seiko, couldn't excuse that on a £99 watch the RRP on this special edition should mean absolute quality and it's not, they hammering out toot with nice lume'd dials.

Booooooo!

Yikes!!!

Yikes!!!

Don’t look at the three o’clock or 9 o’clock marker then!!!

It’s almost like the dial needs rotating clockwise a quarter of a marker on the chapter ring?

The marker for 6 looks off too? Absolutely gutting.
My Turtle that i bought a few years back, and all my other Seiko autos come to that, have perfect alignment. But i think i've just been lucky.
There are so many alignment issues with Seiko autos now, that i'm not bothering to buy them anymore. Plus the fact they have become too expensive now as well, which makes the alignment issues even more inexcusable imo.
