Details

  • Prospex 1965 Diver's Re-interpretation.
  • This specific design is inspired by the 1965 Diver’s watch - the first 150m Diving watch in Japan.
  • This ‘Save the Ocean’ Special Edition, inspired by the ice of Antarctica, expresses the accumulation of time – linking the Antarctic history of Seiko diver’s watches with the time it takes for a glacier to form into its beautiful structure.
  • The blue dial pattern and colour express the natural formations and pressure the glacier underwent during its long cooling period. Glaciers formed during the ice age, approximately 150 to 3 million years ago.
  • Seiko Prospex watches are designed for sports lovers and adventure seekers whether in the water, in the sky or on land.
  • Since launching Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko’s innovative watchmaking has changed global dive watch standards.
  • As part of the Seiko Diver's Re-creation series, this model is a fantastic timepiece with all the finery expected from Seiko's superior diver's model series.
  • Inspired by the highly collectable "62MAS" diver's watch from Seiko.
  • Domed sapphire crystal glass with inner anti-reflective coating provides better protection from scratches in your daily life.
  • The mechanism used is an in-house-built 6R35 automatic movement. This calibre boasts 24 Jewels, with additional manual winding capability.
  • 200 metres water resistant with Screw-down crown and case-back.
  • Case size of 40.5 mm.
  • Stainless-steel case with super hard coating.
  • The uni-directional rotating bezel: The precise and safe operation of the uni-directional bezel prevents accidental rotation.
  • Stainless-steel bracelet finished with a three fold clasp to ensure security on the wrist.
  • The easy to read dial features luminous indexes, hands and bezel.
  • Displays date at the 3 o'clock position.
  • Stop second hand function.
  • 2-year manufacturer warranty, extended to 3 years through the Extended Warranty offer.

This is a great looking dial

In person it didn't look that great - I liked the photos of it too.

That is a pretty cool dial I am torn between this and the more conservative SPB143. It is only £26 more expensive than this on other sites and is a bit more versatile IMO

What justifies the price when you can get a Seiko 5 for around £100?

The much better movement and the amazing Dial!

£800 for a Seiko diver? Haha

    You seem smart, Clammy.

Still not low enough for what you're getting IMO, £600 and I would have bought it.

I have to say, the movements in these should be in the ~600 range. However the case finishing is really nice on these and does feel more expensive (the bracelet, not so much)

    Love this range!
