This sporty and superbly well made timepiece has a highly luminous dial with crystal scratch-resistant glass made from sapphire (the only material that can scratch it is diamond). The watch has a solar cell which means you never need to change the battery (it is powered by both indoor and outdoor light sources). Also featuring perpetual calendar correct to the year 2100 and the solid stainless steel case and bracelet. The dial has a black patterned effect for depth and looks stunning set against the red highlights including red second hand. This model has a power save function and a threefold clasp with push button release. The glass is anti reflective and this stunning Sportura model is water resistant to an impressive 100 metres.

Handsome piece with a dash of solar and perpetual technology. Seems good value for money to me... Heat added!

Heat added. Stunning watch
Nice watch "heat given sir" but I have a citizen that looks similar also from this site. There was a deal a week or so ago, for a g shock premium made of all metal not resin type. It was from the casino outlet for £240ish rrp700+ and by the time I saw it it was expired! Gutted and holding out on my next watch purchase for one like that. Good deal though.
What's a 'perpetual calendar'? Does it auto-adjust for the number of days in the month? And leap years?

Yes
Do Seiko use Swiss movements inside?

Yes

Although I can’t see any date window on this watch. Just a day indicator on the top chronograph dial.

It uses the second hand for this, with the date printed on the outer rim of the face. So, it that photo it shows the 23rd of the month.

Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure I like that method of displaying the date though, as second hand will move when chronograph is in use.

Assuming it survives, the perpetual calendar will need to account for the fact 2100 is not a leap year.
