Found 15th May 2014
I went into HMV Oxford Street yesterday and saw Nintendo 3DS XL in red or pink reduced to £99 in amongst their 'Crazy' price drop promotion. Just the console, no games included, but I think it's a good bargain.

Only instore, not online.

Update: According to other posters this deal has been popping up at other HMVs including:

Milton Keynes
Sheffield
Cardiff
Leeds
Maidstone
Norwich
Reading (Oracle)
Newcastle (Northumberland Street)
Swansea
Southampton

Good find Op. (_;)

This, or pay a bit more for an XL?

This price is for an XL if you read the post.

Title states picture of a 3ds xl but its a 3ds in the picture.
whats the deal in?

The picture is of a 3DS XL. As stated in the title and OP the deal is for the XL model

the picture is neither a 3ds or 3ds XL its a mock up!

My bad. I apologise for this error. The image was a mock-up. To make up for this mistake I went again to the store this morning and took a photo of the actual deal, now in the OP.

I'm starting to hate HMV all the good deals are in there but no store is local to me.

tempted to upgrade my 3ds with this one

So only £9 more for a brand new 3DS XL relative to the recent thread here where many people were upvoting a deal for a secondhand one for £99. Heat given for this deal and it really goes to show how mediocre that other deal was.

I thought the one in oxford circus ie near between tottemham court road station and oxford street station was closed down ?

This is the one in Oxford Street next to Bond Street station.

ahh i see ,thanks.

Not many, and not as good as the deals we've been seeing the last few days. They had Pikmin 3 for £24.99, that was the cheapest I think. Not a bad price.

So they didn't have WW, W101 or Lego City? as I already have Pikmin 3 (got it from Amazon for £24.99 a bit after release).

wonder if JL would price match with a different post code to the store

Only the pink color is available now, I just come from there.

No, they didn't have W101, I was looking for that myself. Or Lego City/WW.

Hi. Thanks for this. Did they have the £149.99 Wii console bundle in stock too? Thanks again.

Also saw this in HMV Sheffield, but it didn't specify a colour.

Went into HMV Nottingham today, apparently they've shifted ALL their wii-u stock to Oxford Street, which is a shame for us in Nottingham!

Red Blue & Silver were on the shelves at HMV Sheffield High Street when I went in yesterday. not bad price, heat added

Doubt they had much seeing as the OP said the only good game HMV Oxford Street had was Pikmin 3.

Pikmin 3 is regularly 19.99 brand new, and that will only increase in regularity with it being one of the games you can get with MK8 so I wouldn't be paying 24.99 at this point. Great game though.

Nottingham, that well known place of Robin Hood and swivel-eyed Nintendo haters!

No, they didn't unfortunately.

Just been in to Milton Keynes hmv and they have 3ds xl for 99.99 too! Got a blue one, there was a black, pink, silver, 2 more blue and a red one left. Went in to try my luck on a copy of lego city for wii u. Meant to be being good but keep being tempted by the other 3ds xl deals and couldn't say no for under £100

Oxford street is OOS of all colours and also the wii u nunchuck which was a fiver

Wonder if this is the sign that they're clearing stock in preparation for the announcement of redesign at E3, hopefully one with a better battery life.

Cardiff have them in stock!

A staff member in my local HMV said that most places aren't selling Nintendo stuff anymore because Nintendo are asking for a stupid amount to provide stock (kinda like what happened with EA). There's a new contract being set up with Nintendo so they should get stock again in a few months time.

Manchester Arndale have the same deals advertised instore, not sure on stock levels though. I asked why they're having a firesale on Nintendo and they said there's no deal signed with Nintendo for stocking any new titles and they're not stocking preowned titles across all platforms anymore.

Deals of note from memory;

£19.99 for Luigi Plus Remote
£24.99 for Mario Plus Remote
£4.99 Sonic All Stars Racing
£19.99 Zelda Wind Waker HD
£9.99 COD Black Ops 2
£14.99 Lego City Undercover
£9.99 for most new copies of Wii Titles (Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart, Pokepark and more)

Also noticed Diablo 3 for Xbox 360/PS3 at £19.99.

Great find. Thank you MOCKMASTER. I Just bought a pink one in Westfield West London. If you ring some HMV's they will check stock and reserve them (depending on the staff), which is what I did. Been looking for ages for a cheap 3ds xl for my wife and she is very happy. As is my daughter as she has one already and they can play animal crossing together.

Didn't see any others at Westfield West London by the way so it looks like there were none left.

Just checked this morning with HMV Metrocentre and they are stocking the 3DS XL for £99.99 in Blue/Black, Red/Black, Silver/Black and Pink. Thanks for the heads up, I've just reserved one to pick up later!

Just checked this with HMV Metrocentre and they are stocking the Blue/Black, Red/Black, Silver/Black and Pink versions for £99.99. Even the employee on the phone sounded surprised. I just reserved one on the phone. Thanks for the heads up!
