Not criticizing this deal etc but don't feel rushed into buying, a lot of this stuff can be had for cheaper brand new & authentic on eBay, where I've purchased 3-4 MK watches over the last couple of years. The RRP on MK is never actually applied.
Bought a MK watch from JB for my wife less than 12 months ago. Rose colour faded very quickly. JB didnt want to help.

Good Afternoon

Thank you for your email. I’m sorry to hear that your watch has experienced discolouration with your purchase.

The rose gold effect is achieved through a process known as PVD coating, which deposits a very thin layer of a coating material onto the outside of the watch. Over time this coating can unavoidably wear or fade, and exposure to friction, damp, direct sunlight or other factors can hasten this process.

Unfortunately, this type of damage is not covered in our warranty. We match the Michael Kors warranty. We strive to exceed our customer expectations and will use any opportunity to provide this but in this instance, we would not be able to keep this promise.

I’m sorry we cannot be of more assistance with this matter. As we do not manufacture the watches we do not have the facilities necessary to make repairs to issues such as this. The full terms of our warranty can be viewed on our website at the following address:

You should check with some local jewellers whether JB's explanation is correct. If they think the rose gold finish should be more durable then remind the seller of their obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Selection of rebranded Fossil watches for more than they are worth.
This is a rubbish reseller and this watch is a rebranded fosill watch which is absolutely junk the proper MK sell for around £200
MK as a brand is awful. It's not worth the price. You may as well go to asos and buy a rose gold watch there. Cheaper, and better quality.
If you are looking for an MK watch, check out Fossil as they make them and apart from the name on the face they are identical but with a cheaperr price tag

Unfortunately, this is true. Any pvd will eventually wear off. Even gold plating will do the same. Gold is usually marked as 10 or 20 year based on the thickness of the plating.

But standard gold or black pvd is prone to wear, chipping and flaking and often times within a few months to a year. Stainless steel is generally the material of choice if you don't want this.
