Found 15th Nov 2009Made hot 15th Nov 2009
I brought 2 ryanair flights for £0.04 on the last promotion for the 9th of dec to the 16th to Faro on the Algarve, Portugal. I have been searching for prices for cheap self catering hotels ever since. Now I think I have got the best deal I will ever get My flights were 4p each and hotel £18.39 so thats £18.47 for a week for 2 people in the Algarve and there is still some rooms left at the hotel,

ALSO a room for 4 people just £21 !!!!

Search Janelas Do Mar on Travel Republic with the dates I states, should get HOT HOT !!

Wotz the weather like then tho?

Wow excellant find

Very good but you might have some extras like car parking, travel insurance, transfers and anything that Ryanair can sting you for.

...check in, luggage, sitting down, having a wee, breathing....

good deal and cheap for other dates too, cant find cheap enough flights to justify it for me, voted hot though

Isn't that the same as any holiday? You sound a bit jealous to me!

Price doesn't work.

EDIT

Tell a lie - £11.32 now. Good price.

Price works at checkout after discount is applied. Weather is around 17-20oC which isn't bad considering its £20 for the hotel and in the UK it will be around 0oC , Enjoy

Goodness, how witty and original. I've never heard such an incisive critique of a budget airline before. I presume you are a successful stand up comedian in real life?

Just found Easy Jet Return Flight from Liverpool to Faro on these exact dates for £40 so £60 holiday hope this helps....

If you book in 4 people its £21.13. Crazily cheap!

:thumbsup:This is a great deal foradding to the cheap Ryanair flights. Of course there are no extras, even the other end the buses are cheap and many people get free travel insurance with their bank accounts and very good it is too!!! Heat and rep added. Have a great time.

Yeah £5.20 each, crazy !!

nice find...i stayed at those apartments a good few years back....they were nice....from what i remember transfers were round about an hour as those apartments were about the last drop off (think they fall under Albufeira region)...the weather should be round about 20 when you go....and dont forget to try the chickien piri piri lol

unless its changed a lot, rather than head downhill on the main road,go out the apartments and cross over the road and head straight through the wasteground (will probably be something built there now) that will take you right onto the main strip...if it looks a bit dark and you dont mind the walk, head down to the "worms" roundabout, and turn left,a little longer, but more built up/busier/safer....have fun!

should also say,am off to the Algarve on the 29th of this month for 3 nights, total for flights and hotel cost £58.00 for two of us B&B.

I went to the Algarve just this Easter and it was a relaxing experience. It was always sunny but the water was too cold to swim in so remember this if you are going in December.

I think I remember paying around 55 euros from airport to albufeira --- I got a cheap flight back then , prob be pretty rough weather - Im not jealous just honest - But you can still have a good time!

20oC not that rough lol england might be a bit rougher

Very friendly people - Good food in the old town -- Try shuttledirect for a good price transfer

Best Ryanair citybreaks seem to be to Poland - Cheap flight , Cheap hotels, Cheap food & drink --- and friendly people went to Wroclaw few weeks ago for £60-70 flight accom -- & Just did Gran Canaria for a week around £120-130 flight & hotel -- Taxi was 35 euros

Hope you enjoy Algarve

I went for christmas last year and the weather was excellent. It is cold at night but in the sun during the day its shorts and t-shirt weather. I went in the sea and the swimming pool, didn't stay in long, mind.

How far is this from the Ryanair Faro airport and how much would the transfer etc cost?

Depends of course where you are flying from but flights from Dublin only leave Saturday, Tuesday and Thurday...make sure you tick the box saying ''my travel dates are flexible'' and it will show you all the dates in that week that flight is available. Hope that helps

Sorry pal, but if I organise my flights through Ryanair separately, then surely I just need to book the accommodation?

Thanks so much for your help. Could you enlighten me any further? God I must sound well thick!

Not at all! And yes the flights and accomodation are booked separately
if you have the flights booked then go to this site:
travelrepublic.co.uk/Jan…tml

This is the site/hotel that tombaz kindly posted so you'll get the room for a rediculous price (in my case £18 for a week!!!). On this page you can specify dates on left hand side and when you search 'Janelas Do Mar' will be top of the list, then you just click 'select this room' and follow instructions.

Also if you get flight and room booked then you can book airport transfers to hotel on travelrepublic.co.uk as well by clicking the 'holiday extras, parking and more' button on the orange banner along top of site
