Not a bad idea or though you could probably get more on ebay. A few years ago I sold my PS3 on ebay for more that it was going in the shops. Someone bought it from Norway and when I checked with him that he knew what he was getting for his money, he said he knew it was quite a lot but the tax in Norway is so high that it was still a 'bargain' to him! Check on there before you go to Asda.
Could sell on eBay but £40 is about going rate at the moment, once you take all the fees off and the extra effort you may be batter off at ASDA
As long as you have the wires and at least one controller then its a good deal, otherwise its not at all. I dont use mine but i feel since i paid a lot of money for it when it came out its not worth getting rid.
Anyone selling a PS3 for £40.lol

Heat anyway.
I tend to use mine mostly for NetFlix downstairs nowadays.. this will probably change if Sony ever get their act together and have NetFlix on their BluRay devices
i want rid of mine but for 40£ no way, like someone said above i too paid a very high price. I do however think that those of you who have a wii and want a wii 2 when it comes out maybe you should hold on too it untill then and game or gamestation will most prob do a trade in deal thay normaly do when a new console comes out thats what i think anyway.

your joking right?

game/gamestation are overpriced for one, then theres the fact they give very bad trade prices, think a wii at the moment is £20-25 that wont get better when the wii 2 comes out

if your looking to get rid i'd go for this cash prices aren't going to get any better
Best to sell the Wii now as Wii:U is coming out and there will be hardly any Wii games.
Better yet, use the money for games for PS3, 360, PC or even towards future consoles.
Good deal for cash value
Need box and all it's contents? Wii sports etc?
Cold, unless desperate for cash or its in well used condition you'd get more on ebay or gumtree etc
My wii's been collecting dust for a long time now, but £40? I'd rather the joys of taking a hammer to it and in turn my frustrations at nintendo's laziness and missplaced trust in he fad driven casual market! rant over :P
for the sake of only £40,may as well keep mine!

Quote from asda
"How will I get paid for my gadget?
We’ll pay you by cheque made payable to the name stored in your account and sent to the address stored in your account, or we can pay the money directly into your account if you enter your bank details when you register your gadget."

I work For ASDA and its only on a GIFTCARD

You're thinking of when you trade in in-store.

No you can't.
Does it have to be a warm morning wii to qualify for the full £40?
I still use mine quite a lot so it'll only be getting traded in if the Wii U is fully backwards compatible and I can afford it.

It is backwards compatible with all Wii games, apparently you can transfer gamesaves too.
RRP is guessed to be around £280

Netflix is available on PS3
Do they need box and manual?

Do they need box and manual?

Looks from the website that they simply want the wii, power supply, tv connector and a wii controller.

Seems like a fair price to me as mine has been sitting redundant for quite a while.

I will definitely not be buying wii U if its around £280. For a system that will be slightly more powerfull than an xbox 360 and just get ports of multi format games I can't justify that price for a handfull of first party games and a tablet controller that will probably end up being a novelty.
why would you want to sell it? the wii will play game cube games and you can access internet on it. check ebay for the prices going for old games consoles and games, and you will realise that it is an investment to hold onto. Too many people want to keep up with the Jones' so buy the latest gadgets then sell them at a loss. I own most games consoles and wouldnt part with them for the sake of a couple quid as its great fun to play games that some people may class as outdated but they are loads of fun and always bring back memories. Teach children to appreciate consoles not automatically want the latest gadgets. (sorry rant over)
But will they take one thats a bit faulty?

Teach children? I'd like to teach most people who buy the wii only to have it gather dust to appreciate quality
No way is it worth selling a Wii for just over the price of a brand new game.
Wonder if they'd take a chipped one.. Can't sell it on ebay so this may be a good option if it worked..

I will report you to the police if you do .

Thats what stores are guessing at, one site in Sweden has a price of over £400. Nintendo claim people will be "pleasantly surprised" when the official RRP is announced.

My guess would be in the region of £200-250 with the controller included, the technology isn't miles away from the Wii but you need to allow for inflation.
Between the Wii U and games, and the line-up of 3DS games I can see Q3 being rather expensive....time to start saving I guess
Looks a good deal, think you could trade in a chipped wii, also would they take the wii board and games?

£20 for a faulty one.
