SCORCHING HOT!

Extended until Wednesday Now Apparently.

Norwich Store only. Great Deal for anyone living around that area! Fundraising campaign until December 13th for a local charity - Break. Send any parcel next day, insured UK for free! For 20 parcels. So please add some money to the collection box if you use this service.

Just went to send a parcel off for next day delivery from my nearest Doddle Shop (Norwich Train Station), never used them before, and they said it was free! (usually 7.99) And that the next 20 transactions for the next two weeks are also free next day and insured.

They said it's about giving back and they are also collecting money for charity, so add a couple of quid in a bucket . It sounds too good to be true!

UPDATE

"Hi everyone, it’s Dan from Doddle here.

Just wanted to clarify the offer in response to the above comments.

Until 13 December 2015, customers of our Doddle Norwich store can send up to 20 parcels for free within the UK on an economy or next day service.

We're also supporting local charity Break through this offer. In exchange for sending your parcel for free, we'd encourage you to make a donation to Break.

If anyone has any questions, then feel free to ask away.

Thanks.
Dan."

Hmmmmmmmm perhaps store specific?!

Can't call right now but will try tonight
Hot! I work across the street from there.

Will nip over and check as I send special delivery several times a week.
Went past my local and didn't see anything about this. So now I'm waiting in the dreaded post office queue.
Perhaps it's a scam and they've just nicked your parcel (_;)
Awesome! You have been cheated??

Did you ask anyone? It was not advertised anywhere in store, just when I went to the counter.
My receipt from Doddle, as you can see tracking number inc, and £100 insured.

Could be customer-specific as well as store specific. I got an email saying pop in for a free £10 House Of Fraser gift card with no purchase necessary, but nobody else seemed to.

I got it and used it to buy for a fire stick. Stuck on Kodi and sold it for a nice profit.

That wasn't only you.
Don't know about this one though..
I had never used Doddle before, Walked in and asked how much it was, they said it's free. Then got me to sign into my new account I had made online on the ipad to get my user ID. And sent.

Please comment if you have used this service to confirm other locations.
Just been into Cannon Street and paid to send. I am an existing customer, so may be for new accounts. Nothing in there shouting about the offer though.
Shame these companies won't send food like sweets abroad. My brother would love to get some English sweets!
I have checked with my local doddle, there is no such free things as OP said for new or existing customer, It must be store specific.

Great deal! Not availabable for me, but great for others. Kinda lucky it's not available for me... literally minutes before I'd done a order for delivery, I'd have been SOOO annoyed hehe

I don't know where your Brother lives, but the company only knows what you tell them about the parcel, surely.....;)

I could've, but read the post above yours. (_;)

Come off it! You hadn't read that when you walked past & were afraid to ask in case they laughed at you

first time i heard that were u sending it never happened to anyone here in the UK they just ask u to sign a declaration and that's it

I've never used this company but I've never heard about anyone presenting upwrapped parcels to be viewed - wouldn't that make for massive queues while people wrestle with rolls of sellotape etc?

Anyway, the reason I said about where the Brother lived is because America is hot on this sort of thing - although I've posted teabags with no problems - possibly Australia, but is there anywhere else I should be aware of? Is it just the parcel company or the country ruling? I'm going to have to go & check now....

Parcelhero says foods must be shop bought, sealed & with a use by date of more than 6 months. In its dos & don'ts of sending xmas hampers, it specially says;
'Do include store bought sweets such as their favourite chocolates, crisps and sweets that your loved one cannot buy in the destination country'
