Yeah, guess someone pressed the wrong button or has something against Shutl. This is actually a very good deal for sending larger / heavier items very cheap. My only issue with Shutl is their compensation cover options are very limited.

I tend to use Yodel xpresspack 48hr for £6.50 and happy with it so far.

Wouldn't send any high value items via Hermes it'll probably end up in a wheely bin.

Could be worse, had a parcel delivered by UKmail the other day to the garage over the road - reason? Couldn't find address. I'm literally directly opposite from the garage with a massive house number on my gate. In other words, just couldn't be bothered.

I'd rather have it delivered safely with a neighbour instead of stuck in my bin or chucked over my fence both of which I've had with Hermes.

Yeah, but if I'm in...I expect it to be delivered to my house. Not an MOT garage were anyone could nab it. Only reason I found out is because I had sms tracking on, so I went and picked it up as soon as I got the text.

How does that work, do you have to go to Yodel Store or can they collect from a specified address?

This code: Yodeldirect10 (10%) seems to always work so always use it. Just had a big box with a PS4 and camera inside collected using 48hr (for some reason arrives next day)

'Maximum Parcel Weight - 12 kg'
'Maximum Parcel Length - 0.75 m'

yodeldirect.co.uk/

Wouldn't buy any delivery option provided by those robbing b s eBay

I could not see a way to increase the insurance from the default £20 (might have been £25). so great price, but not that useful.

Another person who would not use Hermes....awful service. I now go as far as not to buy from sellers who use Hermes as they are that bad!

so twice the price than Hermes with Parcel2go is

Hermes was okay, we used them quite regularly between 2011 and 2013 sending around 120+ parcels but these days they'd be the last courier i'd use for sending something remotely valuable or delicate. Even seeing them on an Ebay listing as the sellers courier of choice puts me off.

Cheers bud, I will have a look into that! Appreciate it.

I wouldn't use Hermes with Shutl. So far I've only used UPS and the parcel arrived the same day I sent it so was very pleased.

Collect plus seem ok we are trying it out this week, deliverd a few ok but only uotp 10kg I think

can anyone tell please does ebay charge 10% fee on top of £ 5. 29 as well as final value fee as well in normal circumstances ? thx

Typical that after I'd sent an Xbox One to a buyer, this offer comes up.

Never mind. I'm confident it'll get to where its going with the delivery method I've used as I've certainly paid enough.

Cheapest way? Walk it to its destination yourself.

True, but that is bringing not sending

10 parcels delivered fine by Hermes over the past 3 years. All gone fine.

Very true.. I bought a laptop and was delivered to my 'outhouse' which I don't have.. found it in my bin! Shocking.. I rang and complained and was told but it's a safe place! Not if I'd have put my bin out it isn't!

I've been using UPS all month. 1 day delivery for 5.65 to 5.75. Surely worth the extra 40p as your more likely to get a sale than with 3 to 5 days delivery. Or am I missing something?

And it's more likely to get delivered.

thanks!

Used this a few times this month (outside these dates) for £5.88 collected. No issues and cheaper than sending from hermes site. Checked and they also were able to schedule a collection a day earlier than by using their site too, strange but no complaints.

I would guess so. Final fee is 10% of total, including postage. PayPal take another cut, which works out at about 5%, or more for low value items.

Boom. Wanted to send an amp I'd sold so needed the extra cover offered by the UPS deal. 15kg overnight from London to Northern Ireland for £6.50 is not to be sniffed at!

Thanks OP!

not that long ago I swore I would never use Hermes due to the bad rep they got but with RM upping their prices I gave myhermes a go. 674 parcels later and only one claim for loss (posted next door, neighbour denied it) paid out very quickly including postage cost. I offered free delivery so ended up with more as they refunded my sale price plus the price I paid for postage unlike royal mail who want receipts and won't refund post cost.

Yes, I sent parcel with a signed for service and instead they delivered to a wheelie bin, except it didn't belong to the house and was 100m or so away so it was either stolen or lost altogether - a £200 item no less. I actively avoid them like the plague now
Edited by: "sharkmark" 20th Jun

Yes loads of deals on here get expired ,seems to be lots of idiots on here that just love to expire really good deals
Call me skeptical but I think its done selfishly to keep it for themselves some times
