Sennheiser BTNC 4.5 AptX (wireless noise cancelling) headphones €144/£130 @ Amazon.es (£170 typically) LOWEST EVER PRICE

These are the new bluetooth/NFC wireless noise cancelling headphones from Sennheiser. In this category they're already good value.

HD-4.50-BTNC-special-features.jpg

These are described as 80/85% of the noise cancelling (same as the PXC 550), features and sound quality of the Bose QC35/Sony MDR 1000X for (in this case) 50-60% less outlay.

Was looking at these today, and even through the EPP programme I have access to via work they still came out at £155.

At £130 these are simply the best wireless portable folding headphones you will get with noise cancelling.

The price won't hang around for long I suspect. Ordered mine for delivery on Friday (£2 more than standard shipping).

Always pay in € not £, your bank will charge you less. Even better if you have a no fee card, or use something like Revolut.

NB, these don't suffer the same issue as the Bose QC's when using ANC and walking/wind, there is no wind whoosh.

Instead, to appropriately complement the Sennheiser quality speakers, this headset comes with state-of-the-art wireless technology and audio codec for reliable transmission and true wireless Hi-Fi sound. While immediate and simple pairing with compatible devices is ensured by Near Field Communication (NFC).

    Use your intuition
Everything about the HD 4.50 Wireless is well-conceived. Just get your fingers at the intuitive ear-cup mounted controls and you will feel what we mean. Together with the integrated microphones they make taking and making calls, changing tracks or adjusting the volume a breeze.

    Comfort on every street
Streetwise, the HD 4.50 Wireless combines supreme comfort and maximum portability. With its around-ear design and deep, ergonomically designed ear pads it allows you to enjoy the most extended of listening sessions. While its robust foldable headband design can be neatly stowed away in the included protective case.

The joy of a long-lasting battery
Being out and about often means being apart from proper power outlets. Fortunately, the battery of the HD 4.50 Wireless lets you enjoy NoiseGard™-protected music for up to 19 hours (it lasts up to 25 hours with NoiseGard™ switched off).

    Spectacular within, minimalistic without
If you develop a premium headset like the HD 4.50 Wireless a short-lived show look is not an option. We chose a sleek frame made of high-quality materials. Timelessly elegant. Making it a pleasure to behold, as well as to use – for many years to come.

They usually take £1 off the card and the rest on dispatch, so assuming your order has been approved by Amazon you'll have time to sort it.

Otherwise if it won't go through, order via a normal CC and then retrospectively change the payment method from your Order page.

Same. But refused to pay for some Bose QC and didn't want the 1000X due to the reported quality issues.

€149.54 for me. Using Revolut conversion that's £131.80.

I thought you pay in the local currency eg € to avoid the fee whereas if you pay in £ then amazon will do the conversion and charge their fee. Although im no expert so I could be wrong, can anyone clarify?

I chose to pay in € on Amazon. In Revolut my card is topped up in £. Revolut will perform the exchange when Amazon debit the funds, as your bank would otherwise do, the difference being Revolut don't charge for that currency exchange, where as a bank will charge a small fee.

That's how it had always worked for me at least.

Up until now Amazon haven't actually taken the money from my Revolut though. They charge on dispatch.

I presume your € total was the same as mine?
Ahh, so you've misunderstood my question. I've asked if I should pay in GBP meaning if I should use the coversion.

No misunderstanding, as above. You pay Amazon (on their site when placing your order) in €, you top-up your Revolut in £ (or € if you prefer) and leave the rest to them.
    It doesn't matter now.
If you have a fee free card (like nationwide credit card) then it's always been cheaper to pay in local currency

That's what confused me too, including "Always pay in £ not €, your bank will charge you less." in the top description, hence I asked, but it's not big deal, only £5 difference and still a big saving.

    This or plantronics backbeat pro?
Is there a socket for a cable so they can be used on an airplane

    This or plantronics backbeat pro?

No AptX on the BBP, also 340G(!) versus 227G for the Sennheiser. Warranty with Sennheiser is 2 years, with Plantronics it's 1 year.

Otherwise they're broadly equivalent I'd say from specification.

EU, just deal with Sennheiser UK. Otherwise just return to Amazon, they'll provide RMA.
Sorry to question Hoff so no cable but there is a socket? Thanks
    Ordered, thanks OP.

I've got another Sony MDR-100ABN coming in from Currys, that one might go back if the sound quality of this is better

    Sure, removable cable included.
any ideas how this performs for phone calls? Bose and Sony both have problems in that area. Backbeat pro has a cable with a inline mike, so is better in that respect. I cannot find anything about any cable included or even if we can use a third party inline mic cable with this one.....

Mics incorporated in the headset for calls.

Cable included for when you're out of juice.
    "Gracias, has realizado tu pedido."
