These are truly a bargain! I've bought a few pair of these but never for this price. Since I first bought Sennheiser, I've never gone to any other brands for earphones as their quality is second to none for the price. I have Monster Beats Pro which I use indoors (RRP £349.99) and for a teeny fraction of the price, these Sennheisers give a good match in terms of sound quality and definitely recommend for people that commute to work on public transport as it is excellent at blocking out noise and feels like you're in your own world.

Quality earphones for less than £20, what have you got to lose?

You also receive a £1 free credit to your account to use on Amazon for any MP3 download and also £2 promotional code to spend on Amazon Appstore on orders between 20-26 October. E-mail was sent to me pretty much straight away and credited to my account within the hour of ordering. May differ for other users.

Great earphones, mine lasted 4 years before one side stopped playing sound (although admittedly I do tend to coil my wires quite tightly, which is supposed to be bad for them)

Nice!

Paid £32.76 for these from Amazon 3 months ago and that was the cheapest I could find then. My second pair. Only had to replace the first ones as I managed to crush one of them!

How different are these to the CX 400 II? I have a pair of those currently and think they are brilliant, if there's only a marginal difference in quality these would be useful as a back up

I can't imagine there would be a massive difference. Probably a different magnet or wire or something (I don't know how they make headphones lol). All I know is these are a fantastic pair of earphones!

Unlucky mate! These last long, I buy them every year or so as I fall asleep with them sometimes while watching Netflix on iPad and end up making the wires loose. Buy a couple at this price and keep for backup!

I do the same and fall asleep with them on which must put a load of pressure on them hence changing them each year. But, 4 year is an achievement!

Only £3 more, but £16.99 is an amazing price! Wish I saw it back then.

I saw these from WarehouseJunky for £16.99 a couple of weeks ago. Ordered them, but just constantly sat at "Awaiting shipment" so had to cancel. Maybe someone with more patience than me would like to try from them!

I bought a pair from Amazon (Jersey) for £12.46 in June 2010, but without a time machine that's probably of little help!

These are great quality earphones, mine died just 2 days ago after about 4 years of heavy use. I bought some beats ones yesterday but I am tempted to get some more of these too!

Ordered, thanks.

Contradiction, much?

Incidentally, don't mistake noise isolating with noise cancelling. These are just closed back earphones.

If you read correctly, I said I've never gone to any other brand for EARPHONES. Monster Beats Pro is an over-the-ear headphone. So don't say "Contradiction, much?" if you don't read properly.

I went through two pairs of these - the sound was good and I loved the asymmetric cord, but both pairs developed faults in around a year. I never found out whether either were a set of the (numerous) fakes going around that even big retailers have been duped by in the past, but I ended up getting a pair of SoundMAGIC headphones in the end.. aside from missing the asymmetric cord, they're absolutely fantastic and amazing value for money.

I'm not dissing these Sennheisers - it's just something to consider for the future. Heat added.

I go through one a year also, but that's because I'm not careful with them and constantly tugging on the wires and coiling too tightly and falling asleep with them.

Not sure mate, but I've heard Soundmagic E10's don't last too long. I've never heard the sound on them though so can't give you advice on which to get.

That's why I never hesitate to buy from Amazon. Once you buy something just keep an eye on the price for next 30 days and if it does go less than the amount you paid, you get it back! Happy days

Never heard of the brand. But reviews seem to say they're good. I can't imagine they will be as good as the Sennheiser's but probably close.
