Don't understand why people moan about beats. Clearly they are good otherwise they wouldn't be the no1 selling headphone brand.
Saw these today in Hmv Trafford centre they were £19.99 with the blue cross sticker on them making it £14.99, They maybe the same price in all of the other Hmv stores worth checking if you want them. I have had these headphones and can say they were excellent headphones.

Wasn't moaning about beats there good headphones just saying these are as good for £100 cheaper, and to honest beats they are the number one selling headphone because there a fashion accessory.

This is due to there being an over-population of chavs.

They may sell well because they have good sound. They may also sell well because they are associated with Dr Dre and have a very good marketing team behind them. Next time you go to a professional recording or radio studio, a nightclub with DJ or anywhere that uses headphones professionally, have a look at what they are using. Clearly you haven't thought about your comment!
If you don't want to collect from Sainsbury's, they are also available here for £19: compare.ebay.co.uk/lik…t=y
I was in my local Sainsbury today and they were 39.99.

No 1 selling =/= Best quality

You'll learn that the masses tend to purchase what is advertised the most over what is the best.

People complain about beats because they're overpriced and fail at what high end headphones should do. The purpose of headphones (or at least, good head phones) is to replicate the sound created by artists as authentically as possible. Beats is intentionally bass heavy which is not ideal when people want to listen to their mixes perfectly.
Got these from Tesco for £12 a while ago. Decent pair of portable headphones for when you're about, very clear sound but it must be said, not great bass performance.

For home listening, I'd recommend something like the HD202s at a similar price.

Also, lol@Beats.

Same reason iPhone is so popular. Most other top end phones are better but people like yourself follow like sheep and want it because of its name.
People who wear beats also love the smell of their own farts!

Haha, I disagree though. I don't wear Beats.

1. What makes you think they are no1 ?
2. They aren't selling well because "they are no 1 ", but because they have a big producer name behind them - Dr. Dre. This endorsement is enough for people who don't know much about headphones brands to jump at them, thinking "if dr dre thinks theyre good, they must be good". It's just part of the marketing campaign behind them.
3. There are many brands that produce much better headphones at much lower price, but they don't sell that well to the general public because they don't put such marketing campaign behind them. And better for it.

4. Beats headphones are for people who don't know about headphones. Simples.

Baaa

Buy for quality of sound instead of the brand name and you'll understand why people moan about beats. Besides, who says beats are no 1? I'd like to see the figures for that claim. All that means, if true, is that they employ good marketing and sales people. It says nothing about how good their products are. Apple are the masters at this very thing.

I saw these in Maplin for the same price last week.

From reviews, it would seem that 20 notes is about the right selling price ...

ive had some of these for a few years, there good, not great, Bass is a bit light and they can make your ears clammy as the covers are a bit plaggy, one thing is for sure there very tough and hard wearing good for bag punishment. There my spare pair for when i am sitting arround or sometimes i use them in the car.
My sons friend got a pair of beats for Christmas, so our son wanted some just after Christmas

Go to a Apple Store and try compare a pair Sennheiser Momentums against any Beats and you will hear for yourself why people **** off Beats. The difference as day and night.

Got these from HMV for £11.50 just a day before it went into administration..LOL..thou heat added

have to jump in here.

I have a very good friend who is a freelance producer and she ALWAYS uses Beats Studio headphones. in her mind they're "the best sub £500 headphones out there... " (quote)

she's been in the business for over 15 years.

Perhaps that's why she's freelance.
there has to be some quality in the Beats...I for one have Sennheisers, and would not buy Beats...only cause I am 40 and would feel daft with them....But surely, no matter how much clever marketing goes on, a piece of **** would still be a piece of **** even if it had a big name on it...its still a big smelly jobby...I also understand the comparising with Apply stuff..especially the i-phone...again I for one went and researched and chose Android HTC phone...but again the i-phone is a quality product...its not like its a big smelly jobby...and I do think this jumping on the band wagon works the opposite way...someone says Beats are ****, so its kinda fashionable to say so...just like i-phone etc...at the end of the day how many of us are real experts?..I know lots of us think we are...but I bet a million pounds maybe a handful of us are real experts that work in the field of sound engineering....:)
I tried some beats, and the ones that really made the difference were the big fat ass expensive ones, the cheaper ones are all show and no go! I used them all plugging in the same Aux Feed, my Phone.

PS I have hearing damage through DJing, and partying over the years, anyone who thinks its important to have these things that are very loud for long periods of time really need to look up Tinnitus... its horrible.

But that aside...

Good luck with your purchases.
Was the same price at Tesco Broughton today, would of bought a set if they were white.

Hi, have you actually received it yet? I also ordered the same day as you, the next day they said out of stock and then the following day 'dispatched' It has been over a week now but no sign of the headphones. The money has already been taken from my credit card. Hope I can claim this back from credit card if I do not receive from HMV!

Never heard of Dr Dre apart from association with headphones. Does this make me an alien?

If you've listened to Eminem or 50 Cent before then it's likely you've listened to a Dre beat
These were £14.99 at HMV before they went into admin not sure if you can still get them at the shops that are still open
Got these in HMV Leeds for £14.99 last week. They seemed to be the only pair left though.
Just a quick heads up for the big headed among us (like me :)), you might find that these fit a bit tighter than usual.

indeed, not helped by their marketing.

"Beats Studio headphones are the icons that bring you sound the way it was originally intended."

the sound the expensive headphone delivers is nice on the ear for certain types of music, it is a classic S curve equalization I believe which is flattering but flies directly in the face of listening to the music as it was originally intended. The are not monitors, and I do not believe folks working in audio would use these for work as they do not deliver to the ear what is being recorded.

On top of all this they are made by Monster who are about as deplorable as any company I know when it comes to their business tactics

The guys response is pretty blunt, its fair to say they where trying to pick on the wrong small fry.
out of stock in Stanmore sainsburys
