The reviews are mixed, but it might be worth a punt for less than a tenner.

I agree, for this price Sennheisers are worth a go for anyone wanting a cheap pair of headphones.

These don't look as good as the Sennheiser 201 or 202 in design.
My brother has the 202's and have great sound quality.

Any good deals on the 202s?

Awesome price, but the 202's are better

i wish they put the hd595 back up for £70 or the HD600s for £100 like in their Easter Sale which I missed out on last time.

For tenner you cant go too wrong with Senns compared to some of the other tripe available out there.

you're not comparing like for like though are you - as they're also about 3 times the price. like most deals, you can find better if you're prepared to spend 3 times as much! For under a tenner though, this is a good deal

I got my 202's for £17.99 at the start of January.

Best price now looks to be about £25.

It may be worthwhile to see if they are reduced again if you can wait, they are excellent quality.

They have sennheiser hd555 on sale for £70 right now at pc world. Checked online and collected from store yesterday.

How do these compare to the HD 201 @ £13.99?

The 201's have less base from what I've read.
I have the 202's and I'm very pleased with the performance. You don't need to ramp up any Base levels with the 202's which conserves battery power on portable divices. This also generates less distortion at higher volume levels as your not overloading any preamps.

sounds a pair i might need to get... hmmm....
