Bought these last year and been really impressed.

Perhaps they don't quite match to the Sony WH-1000XM3s or the Bose QC35IIs, but they're great as a one step down from top of the range ANC headphones and for this price, it's a steal.

How much of a difference does ANC make with these? I mean do they cut out …How much of a difference does ANC make with these? I mean do they cut out quite a lot of sound already with how they fit? Thinking I might bite and go for them.

Arguably any pair of over / on ear headphones are noise cancelling due to the isolation. However I wanted to correct the claim of NC as most users believe it to be ANC (active being the key word), without going into the semantics of NC Vs ANC. In summery they are not noise canceling, at least any more than wearing them when they are off. Similarly Sony's xm3 come in wh (over ear) and wf (wireless earphones) and obviously despite having similar tech the wh has better isolation especially at higher frequencies such as speech. Reading what I just wrote sounds super boring, I hope it's useful though.
a year or so ago i must have gone through 8 or 9 sets of headphones/gaming headsets in the sub £100 price range looking for the "right" one... i finally grabbed a refurbished pair of these off ebay and have been very pleased with them ever since. ive paired them with my tv and use them with my xbox. no lag, nice battery life and great sound. at £50 theres not much that compares in that price bracket.

to answer some questions. ANC is Active Noise Cancelling. which these dont have. but they do provide noise cancelling due to the design of the earcups which fit very snug over your ears. ive found them to be quite effect in home use. although one small gripe is that over a long session wearing them i find that i need to give my ears a breather for a minute or two. but im talking after several hours and other people might not have any problem at all.

Good brand and quality, seems to be a good find, cheapest on Amazon was around £71.

Got these good quality and worth 50quid
Mixed reviews for it, might skip on these personally. Heat added tho.

There is no competition for this price. Your next best option is the AKG.
Are these faulty returns?

They say they are B stock but a lot of people are saying they have received their orders as brand new.

What’s the difference between NC and ANC? I can’t seem to find a reference to either in the description

EDIT: Code doesn’t seem to be working for me 😞

Mind did seem brand new and well worth the money! Can feel a little tight on my noggin after prolonged use. Might just mean I've a large head . . .

I have them. Very good headphones.

I'll second that. And I only bought them cause they appeared on here and were too good a bargain to miss!!!!
@rev6 thanks for the code
Thanks for code, much appreciated, soft spot for sennheiser as they stand by their products!

Noise Cancellation (passive) just uses the actual ear pads to minimise the amount of external noise you can hear when you have the headphones on. Active Noise Cancellation is where there is a microphone on each ear which detects external noise and cancels it out by sending another noise/frequency to your ear (out of phase signal sent from headphones to).

It does make a big difference I'm gonna get some ANC ones, I think I'm gonna go for Sony Wh-1000xm3 or bose quiet comfort 2.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Agreed. If you want ANC then this isnt the product for you. Best test of ANC is switching on the shower. With ANC it is dead silent.

It should be as it is on the seinheisser outlet webpage itself.
Forgot to mention that a friend bought these at over £100 and think they are great. I've tried them and they are pretty decent. Not momentum 2 wireless but sounds v good nevertheless. For the price you can't really do better.

I have been keeping an eye on these for awhile and to my surprise the code was advertised on their website. You can't go wrong with 2 years warranty plus 30 days return period.
Would these survive a lot of sweat (thinking gym use)?

The pads might not. They're pleather and will most likely peel/crack eventually. No idea how long though
At this price it's definitely worth trying. ANC would be useful for a noisy gym. Keep that in mind.

@rev6 thanks for the code

Was the code posted before? Sorry if that is the case, I don't want to look like I am taking the credit from someone. I found out about the code by going to the website as it is advertised there.
Ordered, but am not quite sure about them after reading reviews on amazon about the headphones being uncomfortable (insufficient padding for top of head) and the ear pads not cupping over but rather instead pushing on ear lobes.

Can an owner of these on here further comment on this?!
Thanks

I recently brought a set of Mpow H20 for £40 and found them to be very comfortable on top of sounded pretty good (for the price range), I wonder how these will compare in both comfort and price?!

These are not noise cancelling. That is they are not the HD 4.50 BTNC. They are the HD 4.40 BT.
