Yeahno
Can't go far wrong with sennheiser
Worth adding you can get £10 voucher through vouchercodes.
Despite the very positive review, I felt underwhelmed by these. It felt flat.
Anyone used these with an Xbox? If so, any good?
When I was at school if something was 100% off it was free. The actual saving is £9, so not that great a deal after all...(annoyed)

Great headphones if you have some sort of headphone amp, otherwise these do sound underwhelming to what you'd expect.

Yes I use these with my Xbox and they're fantastic. Very clear detail on mids and highs, clean sharp base unlike the muddy boom that you get on cheap gaming headsets that drowns everything out. Very easy to pinpoint where footsteps and other sounds are coming from. Can't recommend them enough over traditional "gaming" headsets

Considering the £69.99 they were was a 'less than half price' offer, it is a great deal.

That is Sennheiser's signature sound, they don't boost the bass or highs like say Beyerdynamic's or have boosted treble like AKG open backed range. Sennheiser always stay fairly flat and let you tweak via equaliser if needed.

Ah ok, had no idea. Honestly was expecting a little more bass, little more punch to the sound. Going to research how to get the best from it
Got these in the black Friday deals, muxh better than the akg's they replaced. Neutral sound, decent sound stage, make frenetic gaming sessions sound clear. Chuffed with them.
Far too much treble. Hurts ears after 5 mins.

If you want some punch in the base, stay clear of open back headphones. They allow too much of the sound pressure to release through the back of the cup so you rarely get any kind of thump. Get some Beyerdynamic's DT770. Not that expensive but very comfy and plenty bass for anyone.
Bought from Amazon recently, they sounded very muffled compared to my current headphones so I sent them back.

BeyerDynamic produce neutral response headphones alongside their analytical (intentional, by design for close editing work) models.. DT770, DT880, DT990 are for different purposes. They are sold on the consumer market but are pro audio products, helps to read the documentation Beyer provide to help customers choose. As a sound editor and mixer I use the DT990 specifically for their analytical response, which reveals subtle detail. It’s what they are designed for. IMO the classic HD600 line always had a veil to the sound gives a sense of artificiality, equivalent Beyers are superior. Accuracy also confirmed in technical tests.
Just tried them on the Ps4 , they work 100 times better than the pathetic Hyper X Alphas I bought so they can go back to Currys.
My father bought a pair of these to use on PS4. He said he vastly improved the quality of sound by putting gaffer tape over the external earpieces. Worth a try for a few pence worth of tape.
